CCEE2005 - International Hot Air Balloon Week

It's Lynn sharing my final challenge as hostess for the month of the CCEE Stampers saying, "That's enough of this cold." What say we shake the gloom of winter by filling the skies on our cards with bright and colorful hot air balloons in honor of International Hot Air Balloon Week? An uplifting and encouraging sentiment would be a perfect pairing for your balloons, as well!

I tried to watercolor this great Crafter's Companion embossing folder, but wasn't very successful. The sentiment is from Welcome Home by Carta Bella.

Let's see the high-flying beauties from the rest of the CCEE Stampers DT!!

Snow Much Love - Kitchen Sink Stamps

I am back today with another Valentine design sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps. I picked up this fun pad of winter paper titled Solitude by Authentique at Tuesday Morning this week because it is filled with fun snowy images of skiing, sledding, skating, and snowman building that I thought would be fabulous with Figure Skates by Kitchen Sink Stamps. I hope you agree they make a fun pairing.

The popped up words were punched with the We R Memories Word Punches and the stamped words are from various Kitchen Sink Stamp sets.

The skates were embellished with greenery from the Martha Stewart Fern Punch and a pretty red bow. I hope my Valentine likes it!!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

The Male Room - Challenge #128 - It's Snowing

TPB - Diets are Hard!

This is the first New Year in many that I didn't make dieting a resolution. So while I am not actually giving up sprinkles this year, I decided to use this fun image and sentiment from  the set called Hole Foods to create my The Project Bin sponsored card this week! I love all the fabulous sentiments that come with this fun set!

I stamped the donut on SU More Mustard with SU Early Espresso and the frosting on SU Pretty in Pink stamped in Pretty in Pink and added 3 layers of clear embossing powder on the frosting only. Both were cut out and popped up on dimensionals over the SU Naturals Ivory card front. The designer paper is from Creative Imaginations. The dotted tag die is from
Sizzix.

Today's Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored design is going to my coffee-loving granddaughter for Valentine's Day. Of course, since she drives by to pick up her Starbuck's on the way to work each morning, there will be a gift card enclosed. After all, what's a gram for if not to spoil the kids?

Kitchen Sink Stamps used to create this design include:

The rose stenciled background is from the Tim Holtz Collection by Stampersanonymous.com.

This Valentine is being entered in the following challenges:

National Book Publisher's Day - CCEE2003

It's Lynn again here with the latest CCEE Stampers Challenge. Today is National Book Publishers' Day.  To celebrate books of all kinds, I am asking the CCEE Stampers and their fans to create a card which features characters, a theme, or a quote from one of your favorite books!! Bonus points if it is on the current best sellers' list!

My card was inspired by the beautiful book jacket art of Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens.

I used images from Kitchen Sink Stamps and a sentiment from the Unity Company to recreate the design.

I wonder what books were chosen by the other CCEE Stampers?
Let's go check!

Cats - SCS784

Today I am sharing the card I created for Sketch Challenge 784 over at Splitcoaststampers. I have been playing along in that challenge for about 15 years now when I am able. I have made many friends through challenges there and still am a huge fan and faithful follower of their forum and gallery! Back in the day, I was a die-hard challenge chaser and did their challenges almost daily as soon as they were posted. Now I am able to fit in about 2 challenges a week, but I still visit daily.

For today's card I used Feline Good by The Project Bin. The only ink used was Versafine Onyx Black. The papers include black and white cardstock from Recollections and designer paper from Playful Pets Mat Stack by DCWV.

Happy Birthday, Dad

Well, today's Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored design is another birthday card for my dad who is turning 91 this week. Although I created this card for him last week, I think 91 certainly deserves more than one card and one celebration so we will be celebrating all week!! How blessed I am to still have both my parents.

Ran into a small challenge with Dad this week. Turns out that a new law requires you present a birth certificate to renew your driver's licence in Texas. Dad says, "I don't have one."  I said, "Are you sure? Let's go look."

He looked at his home in all the places he keeps important papers and says, "There is not one here."

I say, "Let's go to the bank and check your safety deposit box. That's were I would keep it." So we head to the bank and sure enough, there is one. Turns out his mother tracked one down for him in 1945 when he turned 16 so he could get a Social Security number and go to work. So glad we dodged that bullet.

Then it was back to the DPS where he passed his vision test and got a renewed license. He is still very active in the community and drives himself and my mother to the places where they need to be.

Kitchen Sink Stamps used to create this design include:

I am entering this card in the following challenges this week:

CCEE2002 - Thank a Police Officer Day

Lynn here with this week's CCEE Challenge. In the United States, January 9 is a day set aside to celebrate police officers by thanking them for their public service and showing them support. Let’s help out by creating a card to thank these devoted servants. To spread the word, post your cards on all of your social media accounts!

Setting Sail with The Project Bin

Well, I have some exciting news to share with you today. I have long been a fan of the wonderful sentiments created by The Project Bin. When they extended an invitation to me this week to join their Design Team, I jumped at the chance. Sentiments are so vital to many successful card designs, and I look forward this year to shining a spotlight on The Project Bin's delightful words and images.

For my first design sponsored by The Project Bin, I have used their awesome nautical set Anchors Away. Loving all things nautical, it is one of the very first sets from The Project Bin to catch my eye.

I have used it to create a card for Color Challenge 773 over at Splitcoaststampers which requires the use of yellow, blue, and brown. Here is what I have done:

The sentiment was stamped with Early Espresso by Stampin' Up. The anchor die cut is by Couture Creations and the seashell dies are from Cuttlebug. I punched the coral with a Martha Stewart punch and the designer paper is by Divinity Designs.

Warmest Wishes - Kitchen Sink Stamps

Because this is a busy week for birthdays around my house, my Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored design is a clean and simple masculine birthday card that celebrates winter, as well.

This one layer design was created by first brushing in the snowy slopes using torn paper. After adding the blue sky above, I then added the bare trees, the snowy pines, and icy pond. Last came the silhouette figures and sentiment stamped with Versafine Onyx Black.

Kitchen Sink images used to create this design come from
the following sets:

Color Recipe for the Snowy Pine Trees
Layer 1 Stampin' Up Mossy Meadow
Layer 2 Memento Olive Grove
Layer 3 Stampin' Up Old Olive

Color Recipe for the Icy Pond
Layer 1 Memento Summer Sky
Layer 2 Memento Summer Sky
Layer 3 Memento Summer Sky

Today's card is being entered in the following challenges:

CCEE2001 - It's June in January

Welcome to a new year of creative stamping with the CCEE Stampers. Lynn McAuley here as hostess for all of January now that 2020 has arrived!

Some of our fans may not realize that two of our CCEE Stampers Design Team Members, Frances Byrne and Maryann Einam, are living down under in Australia. Their seasons are the exact opposite of ours. They have always gone with the flow and designed cards to conform to our climate. Let’s turn the tables this week and make some summery cards they can put to use right now! Bring on the heat!

Let's also remember the citizens of Australia with prayers for rain as they continue to battle on against the unyielding wildfires that have spread across much of Australia in recent months.
