CCEE2108 - Fairytale Madness

We all have fond memories of the fairytales we loved in our childhood (the inner child in us still adores them). February CCEE Hostess, Manal Habib has asked us to create something featuring one of our favorite fairytales, a carnival, or a circus! She said we could choose.

I have chosen to feature a card based on The Little Mermaid.

Look in on what the other team members featured as their favorites!

What's Cooking in the Kitchen?

Today is release day at Kitchen Sink Stamps so, of course, today's KSS sponsored designs were created with images from these new sets: Artichokes and Sweetheart Daisies.  I had such fun working with these fabulous images. Each set comes with a wide array of fun sentiments!

This card was created with a SU More Mustard card base which I stenciled with a honeycomb design using Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Ink by Ranger. I added a band of burlap across the card front before attaching the stamped SVG Sweetheart Daisies Heart. I also cut the bees using the same SVG. Remember you get it for free if you add it to your cart when you purchase the stamp set.

I used the same color recipe for the bees as I used on the daisies until Layer 4. On the bees layer 4 was stamped with Versafine Claire Nocturne. The tag is a Sizzix die cut and the sentiment stamped with Altenew Espresso.

My next card features this amazing artichoke. Doesn't it look amazingly real? I love it! The set includes two sizes of artichokes with this being the larger one. It is just under 2 inches tall. There is also a good number of wonderful sentiments included with this set.

I used designer paper from Amy Tangerine's Stay Sweet as the background for this windowpane design with the four artichokes.

CCEE2107 - Love Your Pet Day

It is Love your Pet Day, so February hostess Manal Habib has asked the CCEE Stampers to create a project which showcases pets. She also said we were free to add children with pets as well.

This is a Valentine's Day picture I took of my sweet Calleigh!

So, of course, this chihuahua mom is making a chihuahua card for Love Your Pet Day! This fun image is from Stamplistic.

Make the Moose of It - KSS

I never in a million years thought that today's Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored card would be a snow scene, but when I woke up to this on the Texas Gulf Coast this morning, I knew I would want to change my design plans. The prediction is that snow and ice will stick around for most of the week. Many Texans north of me are without power, but so far I am still up and running. I am going to post this quickly should there be a rollout power outage as predicted.

While I didn't see any moose strolling down the street, I was inspired to pull out the Mighty Moose, the Snowy Pine Trees, and the Alpine Mountains to create this card!

Color Recipe for Moose

Layer 1 Desert Sand stamped twice
Layer 2 Toffee Crunch
Layer 3 Dark Cocoa
Layer 4 Espresso Truffle

Layer 1  Olive Grove Memento
Layer 2 Mossy Meadow Stampin' Up
Layer 3 Always Artichoke Stampin' Up

Alpine Mountains

CCEE2105 - Thank a Mailman Day

Manal Habib is our CCEE hostess for challenges for the month of February.

Manal says, "Its been really cold, however, the warmth of gifts from loved ones has succeeded in making us happy.

We wouldn't have been able to send or receive anything if there were no mailmen out there who deliver happiness to our doorsteps.

Let's thank them for all the efforts they make!"

Therefore she has asked the CCEE Stampers to create a project that features a mailman/ postman, letter box, letters, mail truck or envelopes.

Here is what I came up with:

Flying Man by Deep Red

Special Delivery by Papertrey Ink

Designer Paper from The Once Upon a Time Stack by DCWV.

House-Mouse Challenge - Love

Today's card was created for the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #333 - Love, as well as the Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge #829 - Petal Pink, Whisper White, and Poppy Parade.

I stamped this adorable House-Mouse image from Stampendous! on SU Whisper White with VersaFine Clair Nocture and then watercolored the image with SU Petal Pink, Poppy Parade, Smoky Slate, and Chocolate Chip ink.

The designer paper is New Arrival by Pebbles from 2010. I used my Sizzix Dotted Oval dies to cut the frames and my Momenta I Love You die to create the sentiment.
