CCEE2203 - Punch the Clock Day

Today is Punch the Clock Day.  To celebrate this special day, CCEE January hostess Lois Bak has requested that the CCEE Stampers put something time-related on our cards (a clock, a watch, a calendar, etc.)  If you don't have any of those things, make a birthday card -- that's time-related!

Ladybug Valentine - Kitchen Sink Stamps

My slimline Ladybug Valentine card is this week's Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored design. It was created using images from Heart & Roses, Bold Holiday Greetings, Ladybug Hugs ( the word Ladybug), and Giant Sunflower (the ladybug). The background paper was created using the just released Digi Sweet Hearts Printable made to use in foiling.  I do not have the equipment or materials for foiling so I just printed this buffalo plaid heart design on a sheet of red Bazzill cardstock to make a fun designer paper background for my hearts and roses.

Color Recipe for the Roses using Altenew Inks

Layer 1 Crimson
Layer 2 Crimson stamped twice
Layer 3 Vineyard Berry
Layer 4 Ruby Red

Color Recipe for the Leaves using Altenew Inks

Layer 1 Shadow Creek
Layer 2 Mountain Pine
Layer 3 Evergreen

My new favorite inks for sentiments are Versafine Clair by Tsukineko. I stamped the word Valentine's on a panel cut using an SVG cut file available from Kitchen Sink Stamps that coordinates with Bold Holiday Greetings using Versafine Clair Tulip Red and then added Happy and Day on top of that using Versafine Claire Nocturne.

I am entering this card in the following challenges this week:

CCEE2201 - New

Our CCEE Stampers January Hostess, Lois Bak says, "It's a brand-new year, so use something brand-new or something you've never used before on your card.  It could be a stamp, a die, or even a new technique."

I have two brand new, never used items on my first CCEE card of the New Year. The embossed background was created with my new Mighty Waves 3-D embossing folder from Altenew. The other new item is this fun birthday sentiment from Impression Obsession.

I wonder what new crafty goodies the other CCEE DT members are sharing with us today? Let's check it out:

Cheers to the One I Love - Kitchen Sink Stamps

Before you know it Valentine's Day will be here, and I am determined to have cards ready in plenty of time for snail mail delivery this year!! My sweet Valentines are scattered all over the state of Texas so today's Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored card is for that holiday and uses images and sentiments from Champagne Cheer.

This is a 5 x 7 card using pink and red Bazzill papers as well as red glitter paper from the Paper Studio. The background was created using the Falling Hearts die by Tim Holtz for Sizzix. The champagne flutes were cut out with my Cricut Joy using the KSS Cut Files before stamping.

This card was chosen as a Top Rocker at 613 Avenue Create during the second week of January!! Thank you, 613 Avenue Create!!

Back from the Beach - KSS Angel's Wings Sunset

A transformer exploded and a neighbor's fence burned to the ground on Sunday night, so I was without phone, cable, and internet for the early part of this week. I am posting today the Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored card I had prepared for Monday.

As many of you know, I usually spend the last week of the year on a Texas beach with my family where we honor my late husband at sunset on December 30. This year is the fifth anniversary of his passing. Although family responsibilities and illnesses kept me at home most of that week, I was able to drive down to be with them on the 30th when my nephew stepped up to fill in for me at home for that night.

The memorial card I made uses images from Angel's Wings and Isle of Big Bay Lake. The clouds were created using the SVG Cloudy Skies cut stencil. The initials and dates were computer generated.
