KSS Pear with SCS TLC477 - What's the Point?

I got a late start today on my Kitchen Sink designs so I took the opportunity to look in on the Splitcoaststampers' Technique Challenge for inspiration. TLC477 is titled "What's the Point?" and asked for pointillism to be used to create some of the background for the design. So in my 10 Minutes and 10 Minutes More design I used the extra 10 minutes to add the pointillism shadow below the pears and stamp some stripes for the background.  (Post sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps).

10 Minutes + 10 Minutes More Sunflower

The focus this week falls of the beautiful Kitchen Sink Sunflower. With only 10 minutes to work, I created a single layer design by masking the card front to stamp the plaid background. Once I removed the masks, I stamped the sunflower right over the plaid. The stamped I used on it include Giant Sunflower Multi Step Clear StampsLilac Multi Step Clear Stamps (stem), Plaid Plus! Clear Stamps, and Simple Sentiments Clear Stamps.

With the additional 10 minutes for the second card, I stamped the plaid on a separate panel which I then placed with repositional adhesive to the card front so I could stamp the sunflower. I then removed the panel and added a green layer and a brown layer with a punched edge. With the remaining time, I stamped the ladybug climbing up the stem and a grass border ( from Honey Bunny Multi Step Clear Stamps) along the bottom. Finally I added a little yellow Stickles to some of the sunflower petals for interest.

This is the order in which I stamped the layers on the sunflower and the inks I used:

Layer 3 - Memento Tangelo
Layer 2 - Memento Cantaloupe
Layer 1 - Memento Dandelion
Layer 4 - Memento Rich Cocoa
Layer 5 - Memento Espresso Truffle

Stem, Leaves, and Grass - Memento Bamboo Leaves and Northern Pines stamped off once

Lady Bug
Layer 3 Memento Tuxedo Black
Layer 2 Memento Lady Bug
Layer 1 Memento Lady Bug

Don't miss out on what the Kitchen Crew has created for you today!!

Golden Christmas Bells

When I read the Limited Supply Challenge on Splitcoaststampers today and saw "acrylic stamps only," I knew I would be reaching for my favorite Kitchen Sink Stamps.

I loved stamping these bells in silver late Sunday night, but they are truly stunning done in gold. The photograph doesn't do them justice! Believe me!!

The top bell was stamped first and then masked to add the second bell. The ribbon was stamped separately and then cut out to be mounted on top of the bell.

Kitchen Sink Stamps used to create this card:

Bells Multi Step Clear Stamps
Plaid Plus! Clear Stamps
Holly & Mistletoe Multi Step Clear Stamps

Papers:
Real Red and US White by Stampin' Up
Shimmer Gold Paper

Stampin' Up Inks:
Marigold Morning, More Mustard, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Bravo Burgundy

Color Box Ink: Metallic Gold

Cuttlebug Embossing Folder: Snow Dots

Hope you like it!! It may be landing in your mailbox this Christmas!!

SCS Color Challenge 189

The wonderful colors for today were the perfect opportunity for me to break out and ink up my newest Kitchen Sink Stamps Pansy Multi Step Clear Stamps! I can tell already that this set will be one of my favorites. The layers line up so easily to create these gorgeous blossoms!!

These are the Stampin' Up Inks I used to create this card:

Pansies:
Layer 1 - Pink Pirouette
Layer 2 - Pixie Pink stamped off once
Layer 3 - Pixie Pink
Layer 4 - Pink Passion
Layer 5 - Purely Pomegranate

Leaves:
Layer 1 - Kiwi Kiss stamped off once
Layer 2 - Kiwi Kiss
Layer 3 - Old Olive

Stripes and Sentiment:
Chocolate Chip

Papers: Stampin' Up Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, and US White.

I started on the US White with the two large pansies which I then masked. Next I added the smaller blossoms. I then masked them and finally added the leaves. The strip of blossoms was then cut out and mounted on top of the card front. Flat back pearls were added as the finishing embellishment.

The Chocolate Chip stripes were created using Plaid Plus! Clear Stamps from Kitchen Sink Stamps.
The sentiment is from Whole Family also by Kitchen Sink Stamps.
