Sending New Year Cheer - Kitchen Sink Stamps

Today's Kitchen Sink Stamps' sponsored design was created to welcome in 2024 and to wish you each a wonderful new year filled with peace and hope.

This A2 card has a blended and embossed background which was spritzed with water. Once it had dried, I added giant glitter glue confetti. The Champagne flutes were stamped on cut SVG files and then adhered to the card front of the card along with the sentiments.

Rustic Christmas - Kitchen Sink Stamps

This Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored holiday scene depicts my wishes for a quiet, peaceful, snowy Christmas! I doubt that it will happen. Maybe the quiet and peaceful parts, but there will likely not be any snow here on the Texas Gulf Coast. The last time that happened on Christmas was in 2004.

Images used on this scene building design are from:

Christmas Poinsettia

Icy Pond

Snowy Cabin

all by Kitchen Sink Stamps

This is a 5 x 7 inch design with the cabin and trees stamped directly on a white card front. The poinsettia and leaves were stamped on a separate white panel, fussy cut, and glued to the bottom forefront of the card. All inks except the black are by Altenew. The sentiment and sleigh were stamped with Versafine Clair Nocturne.

This card has been entered in the following challenges this week:

Holiday Lights - Kitchen Sink Stamps

Last weekend I went hog-wild making a large tub of  holiday lights from the Kitchen Sink Stamps set Christmas Lights 2020 so that I could get serious about creating my Christmas cards for this year. This delightful little set has three different light bulbs and two styles of sockets, as well as a wire stamp which you can use to connect the lights into a string. There are also several tiny one layer light bulbs. What a bargain for $10.50!

For today's Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored design, I have used the small round bulb and straight socket for the first card and the large bulb and slanted socket for the second! Black cording was used for the wire, framing, and bow. The pine sprigs and sentiments are from Christmas Poinsettia.

For both of these 5 x 7 inch holiday cards, I stamped images from Snowy Pine Trees on a white panel and laid a designer paper oval frame cut from a holiday pad from the Paper Studio over them before adding the sockets and light bulbs. I fussy cut the bulbs and sockets. After gluing them down, I added the black cording and sentiments.

This first card has been entered in the following challenges this week:

Stamping Sensations - November Challenge - Get Ready for Christmas

As You See It - Challenge #312 - The Most Wonderful Time - Christmas - The festive holiday lights are part of what make this season so magical to me. They are popping up everywhere in my neighborhood!

Happy Holidays - Kitchen Sink Stamps

The turkey and dressing are ready for the oven, but here at my house, the Christmas card bin is almost bare!! I have never been this unprepared for Christmas. For that reason today's Kitchen Sink sponsored design is a slimline holiday design featuring images from Christmas Lights 2020, Icy Pond, Owl & Autumn Moon, Snowy Cabin, and Christmas Poinsettia. The sentiment was embossed with gold, and I added some glittery holly stickers from the Paper Studio. The lights and wires were stamped with Altenew inks.

This card has been entered in the following challenges this week:

Hobby Vision - Challenge #139 - White Christmas

Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge - Challenge #59

613 Avenue Create - November 2023 Challenge - Embossing - Wet or Dry

Merry Christmas from my Beach to Yours!! - Kitchen Sink Stamps

I'm CERTAIN this never happens at your house, but it has happened again to me this year. Just when I get all my Christmas cards created, signed, addressed, and mailed, here comes another one from an unexpected  source.

So while I thought my Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored card today would be one celebrating the New Year, instead I am still cranking out Christmas cards.

Today's card features images from Palm Trees, Christmas Lights, and Christmas Poinsettia (the sentiment).

I will be celebrating Christmas with my little "core" family at the beach again this year. We have grown by two members in 2022: a fiance' for granddaughter#2 and a precious baby boy for granddaughter #1 and her husband).   What fun awaits!!

Potted Poinsettia - Kitchen Sink Stamps

Today's Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored Christmas design features the Christmas Poinsettia again with assists from Clay Pots, Lilacs (stems but you can draw your own if you don't have this set) and All Year Grapevine Wreath (bow).

This card was created on a simple white card front with a bit scoring for added detail. Only the stems were stamped on the card front. The flowers, leaves, clay pot and bow were stamped on SVG cut files also available from Kitchen Sink Stamps.

A Beary Merry Christmas - Kitchen Sink Stamps

With Christmas fast approaching, I have used this weekend to get started on my Christmas cards for 2022. I am getting a very late start this year so expect my Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored cards for upcoming weeks to all be Christmas designs. I'm finally in the Christmas spirit!

Today's card features images from Bear in the Woods and Snowy Pine Trees with a sentiment from Christmas Poinsettia.

The front snow pine and bear were both stamped of SVG cut files which are available from KSS for these stamps sets. The designer paper is from the Paper Studio.

I am entering this Christmas card in the following challenges this week:

Holiday Packaging

Now that all my holiday cards are complete and in the mail, I have this week to get my gifts wrapped and under the Christmas tree.

Today's Technique Lover's Challenge 878 over at Splitcoaststampers gave me the opportunity to do just that. For this challenge participants were asked to create holiday packaging that could hold a gift card. Challenge Hostess Lyn created a Box in a Bag using this tutorial. It looked like a fun and fast way to construct a gift bag for small treasures so I used it, too! She listed several other options, as well, if you would like to take a look.

For this Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored project, I used images and a sentiment from Christmas Poinsettia. I created a border for the bottom of the bag with the pines and pine cones and an SVG cut poinsettia as the center decoration. The sentiment is also stamped on an SVG cut file which is available with the purchase of this set. I can't find any identification on the designer paper so I'm not sure of its origin.

Holiday Cheer - Kitchen Sink Stamps

For today's Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored holiday card, I wanted to share a new color recipe with you for the Amaryllis. I chose to go with pinks for this Christmas card which also features sentiments and pine from Christmas Poinsettia

Color Recipe for the Amaryllis using
Stampin' Up Inks

Layer 1 Pretty in Pink
Layer 2 Polished Pink
Layer 3 Magenta Madness
Layer 4 Raspberry Ripple

The pines were stamped using only layer 1 in Mossy Meadow. The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Claire Nocturne and the edges were sponged with Victorian Velvet Distress Oxide ink.

I still have more Christmas cards to go. Most of my holiday cards this year are featuring the amaryllis. The blossoms are so beautiful and it is so easy to stamp.
