CCEE2022 - World Creativity Day

Saturday, May 30th, is World Creativity Day! Such a fantastic day to embrace your own creativity and for us to support each other in the paper crafting community. For her final challenge for the CCEE Stampers for May, Hostess Kelly McKown Santi has asked us to make a card using OUR OWN favorite card-making technique ~ the sky is the limit!

I don't think it is a secret to anyone that my favorite card-making technique is Multi Step Stamping. I have worked hard at it for over 12 years now and hopefully have gotten better and better at it with the invention of stamp positioners and fabulous new inks! I got on board with it on the ground floor with Maria Colosimo of Kitchen Sink Stamps who was creating layering stamps before layering stamps were the hot items they have become today. Now it seems that everyone has jumped on the band wagon and many people are discovering how awesome they are to work with. Coloring with Copics - not my thing! Layering ink on top of ink on top of ink - that's MY THING! I always get excited when I see the multi-layered creations of other stampers!

Today's cards feature the newly released Kitchen Sink Stamps Old World Door and Potted Topiaries.

It will be fun to see what everyone else claims as their favorite technique. I can guess on a few! Here are links to the cards created by the members of the CCEE Design Team:

CCEE2021 - Mother, May I?

CCEE Stampers May Hostess, Kelly  McKown-Santi, has challenged the CCEE Stampers to create a card based on a popular children’s game Mother May I, a card featuring children playing, or a card for a child.

Here is what I came up with! In my neighborhood, the after school game was always Red Rover!! I loved hearing my name called, "Red Rover, Red Rover, Let Lynn come over!

I think you'll enjoy this week's fun-filled cards created for you

Cake - The Project Bin

This pink birthday card sponsored by The Project Bin was created using their newly released set called Defined. In past weeks I have used this versatile set to create a Mother's Day card and a Father's Day card, and this week I am in need of a birthday card for a friend. What could be more perfect than this fun cake sentiment from this delightful set?

I cut the cake from a piece of pink card stock and the plate from white card stock. I then added the decorative embellishments and glued the cake to the designer paper. The sentiment was the final thing added using Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink. This is a 5.5 x 5.5 inch square card.

Happy Father's Day - The Project Bin

I have my Mother's Day cards all made and ready for Sunday so it's time to move on to Father's Day. This card, sponsored by The Project Bin, uses their newest sentiment set called Defined.

Living on the Texas Gulf Coast, I create a lot of nautical themed designs. This one uses the Father's Day and dad sentiments from Defined. I mixed it with a die cut sailboat from Impression Obsession and designer papers from By the Shore by Divinity Designs and Ahoy There by Carta Bella. The card is finished off with a knotted rope holding the Father's Day fishtail banner.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. It is always a joy to have you visit. For more inspired ways to use the images and sentiments from The Project Bin, be sure to stop by their blog for a visit!

I am entering this Father's Day card in the following challenges:

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge - Challenge #554 - Hero (dads are wearing even more hats than usual during this challenging time of isolation.  Cheers to the dads!)

Simple Pop Out Card - KSS

Today's card sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps is a simple pop out card design which is featured on the Technique Lover's Challenge at Splitcoaststampers this morning. It is a simple fold which allows the card to stand up easily on a window sill or table.

The two Kitchen Sink Stamp sets I used to create this design are Bicycle Multi Step Clear Stamps and Seaside Seagull Multi Step Clear Stamps ( for the grass at the bottom).

To create this card I used a piece of 8 x 5.5 inch yellow card stock. I scored in at 1.5 and 2.5 inches from each of the long ends to create the shape. I then cut designer paper to fit inside each of the 4 side panels. The white panel for stamping was cut 5 x 2.5 inches.

Color Recipe for the Bicycle (without inking the basket)
Layer 3 Memento London Fog
Layer 4 Versafine Onyx Black
Layer 2 Memento Gray Flannel
Layer 1 Stampin' Up Going Gray

Color Recipe for the Basket
Layer 3 Stampin' Up Soft Suede
Layer 2 Stampin' Up Creamy Caramel
Layer 1 PTI Fine Linen

Layer 1 Stampin' Up Granny Apple Green
Layer 2 Stampin' Up Lucky Limeade

Color Recipe for the Flowers
Layer 2 Stampin' Up Crushed Curry
Layer 3 Stampin' Up More Mustard
