CCEE2216 - Spring Garden

For our final April challenge, CCEE Hostess, Liz Willams has asked the CCEE Stampers to give her a peek at what we have planted in our spring garden. She said to feature our favorite blossoms on our creations.

Well, unfortunately, I am no gardener. Even the knockout roses I planted last year refuse to bloom. The only blossoms appearing in my flower beds this year are weeds that put out flowers! But that's O.K. They come in many pretty colors!

The sentiment is from Deadbeat Designs and the die cut wildflowers are from Flower Field by Tim Holtz for Sizzix.

See the flowers growing in the gardens of the DT members below:

In addition to the CCEE challenge, I am entering this card in the following challenges:

The Card Concept #174 {How Does Your Garden Grow} As mentioned above, Texas weeds and wildflowers grow in my yard each spring. The style is pretty clean and simple.

Plumeria for Mother - Kitchen Sink Stamps

With Mother's Day just around the corner on May 8, I am sharing this card created for my mother as my Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored design. I often mix lots of stamps together to create my KSS cards, but this design uses on two sets: Plumeria and Bold Holiday Greetings.

The blossoms and leaves were cut with my Cricut Joy using the SVG Cut File which is available for free from KSS when added to your cart at the time you purchase the Plumeria set. The layered stamping was then added to the cut outs.

The background was blended with Squeezed Lemonade and Dried Marigold Distress Oxide by Ranger. I then splattered it with water, dried it, and then splattered it again with liquid gold.

This card has been entered in the following challenges this week:

Sunday Stamps - SSC281 - Sweet Pastels

Alphabet Challenge Blog - B is for Blooms

Cut It Up! Challenge Blog p #250 - April Showers Bring May Flowers

As You Like It Challenge - Favorite: Floral or Cute. I love florals! Flowers are my "thing!"

Thank you, As You Like It!

Bunny Basket - Kitchen Sink Stamps

This week's Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored design features more of the gorgeous hydrangeas that I love so much! I used them on this card to fill this fun Easter basket along with a bunny and pretty bow!

The KSS stamp sets used to create this Easter card are Hydrangea, Honey Bunny, Basket, All Year Grapevine Wreath, Bold Holiday Greetings, and Coffee Mate Greetings.

All the images were stamped on the SVG cut files that coordinate with these sets. I then arranged the pieces and glued them together before popping them up on dimensionals over the embossed background panel. The embossing folder is from Crafter's Companion.

I have entered this card in the following challenges:

CCEE2213 - No Housework Day

Our April CCEE Challenge hostess, Liz Williams has asked the CCEE Stampers to celebrate “NO HOUSEWORK DAY” by spending the day in our stamp rooms designing a “Free for All” card with the theme of our choice. She said, "Have fun," and I sure did.

This card is going to a friend (not naming any names here) to give him a chuckle! This card shows him at his favorite place taking part in his favorite sport! This guy is from Art Impressions. I added a die cut beer bottle in his hand. The hilarious sentiment is from Picket Fence Studios.

Let's see what the rest of the crew chose to create this week:
