Happy New Year!

The fourth and final Monday this December brings with it another Let's Make a Scene design sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps.  For this winter scene I have mixed images from KSS' Cabin by the Lake Multi Step Clear Stamps with the Snowy Pine Trees Multi Step Clear Stamps. The "New Year" part of the sentiment comes from Greetings from the Woods Clear Stamps.

In my mind, this peaceful, rustic site looks like a fabulous place to start the new year!
Wishing you all health and happiness for 2016!

For this week's 10 Minutes and 10 Minutes More designs sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps, I have used a sprig of greenery from Winter Cardinals Multi Step Clear Stamps and images from Ornament & Stars Multi Step Clear Stamps.

A Cardinal Christmas

Things are Christmas crazy around my house these days. I managed to whip out several major tasks: 60 Christmas cards made and sent, 10 dozen French cookies made and frozen, and 25 Christmas recipe scrapbook pages completed. But shopping, wrapping, and 48 scrapbook pages still await me! I need to kick things up a notch this week.

It was fun taking a break from all of those tasks to complete today's Let's Make a Scene card sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps. For today's design I included images from Winter Cardinals Multi Step Clear Stamps, Cabin by the Lake Multi Step Clear Stamps, Christmas Lights Multi Step Clear Stamps, Tree Friends Multi Step Clear Stamps, and Greetings from the Woods Clear Stamps. To create the look of snow on the cabin roof, I did not ink the shingles on layer 4.

CCEE1550

Joanne is our hostess for the CCEE Stampers last challenge of 2015.  We will be taking a short break before returning in the New Year on January 7th.  So at this time we would all like to extend our wishes for a wonderful holiday season.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!!!

So.....here is this week's challenge.....

Did you know? There are occasional "Leap Seconds" added to the official year. They help to correct minor variations in time. On December 31, 2015, the folks who maintain the official time for the planet, will add an extra second to the day!  To honor this, the challenge for this week is to incorporate time into your card…..a clock, a calendar, a date, a watch, etc.

For my card I used images from Father's Pocket Watch Multi Step Clear Stamps by Kitchen Sink Stamps.

We would love for you to join us for the final challenge of 2015 and add a link to your card on the CCEE Stampers's Blog. Thanks to those of you who have played along with us this year! We loved seeing your wonderful creations!

Happy Holly Days!

Today's 10 Minutes and 10 Minutes More designs sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps were created with their Holly & Mistletoe Multi Step Clear Stamps set. I love using this classic holiday greenery on my Christmas cards and tags. It always looks so festive!

This is the color recipe I used for the holly leaves: layer 3 - Memento Northern Pine, layer 2 - Memento Cottage Ivy, layer 1 - Memento Bamboo Leaves stamped twice.

Roof Over Your Head - CCEE1549

Today is National Roof Over Your Head Day.   It is a day to be thankful for those of us who are fortunate enough to have a safe home to live in AND to think about those around the world who do not.  To mark this day, our CCEE challenge today is to make a card with a house/building of some sort on it.

Stamps: Holiday Home by Stampin' Up
Holiday Greetings by Verve

Join us in this week's challenge and post a card on the CCEE Blog!

Check out the houses the rest of the CCEE Stampers used in their designs!
