CCEE2130 - International Tiger Day

Today is International Tiger Day.  The CCEE Stampers' Challenge for this week is to include a tiger (or other cat) on your card -- tiger, lion, your own little tabby (you get the idea).

The stamped potted plant is from Plentiful Plants by Stampin' Up.

The snarky sentiment is a Tim Holtz sticker.

Check out these cool cats featured by the CCEE DT:

Ladybug Get Well - Kitchen Sink Stamps

I needed a quick get well card this morning, so I stamped this one featuring the Big Leaves, Ladybug Hugs, and Watercolor Prayers for today's Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored design. The leaves and the word prayers were cut using the SVG cut files which go with the stamp sets.

I stamped layer 4 of the ladybug with Versafine Claire Nocture directly on the leaf and then stamped the entire bug on a separate white panel.  I then cut out the body of the bug without the legs and antenna to glue in place on the bottom leaf.

Today's Color Recipes feature Stampin' Up Inks

Layer 1 SU Soft Seafoam
Layer 2 SU Lemon Lime Twist
Layer 3 SU Granny Apple Green
Layer 4 SU Gumball Green

Layer 4 SU Smoky Slate
Layer 5 Versafine Claire Nocturne

National Hot Dog Day - CCEE2129

July 21 is National Hot Dog Day so CCEE July Hostess, Lois Bak, has asked the CCEE Stampers to include this national treasure on our cards this week.  If you don't have a hot dog image, Lois says you can use any kind of fast food item.

My hot dog choices are very limited! In fact, I have none so I pulled out this grill die and added a fun sentiment from Gina Marie Designs.

Let's see what tasty hot dogs the other CCEE Stampers have cooked up for you today:

Mama's Gone Fishing - Kitchen Sink Stamps

I had a lot of fun with today's Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored design. It seems like mothers everywhere face some of the same problems daily. There are always mouths to feed. Bear in the Woods

Trout Fishing

Shoreline Rocks

Honey Bunny

Isle of Big Bay Lake

The two color recipes I am sharing today feature inks from Stampin' Up.

CCEE2128 - Cow Appreciation Day

It's Cow Appreciation Day!  CCEE July Challenge Hostess, Lois Bak, has requested that the CCEE Stampers use some kind of farm animal (cow or otherwise) on our cards. I used a cow, a pig, and a rooster cut using Cricut Design Space.

The clouds are a background stamp from Impression Obsession. The grass was cut with a MFT die. The sentiment was computer generated.

Take a trip to the farm with the fun cards from the CCEE

KSS - Bright Days Arch

It's another card of encouragement for today's Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored design. I made another card similar to this a few days ago and had so much fun creating the tiny scene through the arched doorway, that I decided to create another one to share with you today.

This card uses images from Old World Door (the arch and the climbing roses), Village Stone Bridge (the man and dog silhouette), Honey Bunny (grass), Potted Topiaries, Isle of Big Bay Lake, and Summer Lemons (sentiment).

The brick wall was created with a Sizzix embossing folder and the clouds were dabbed on using my finger dipped in gesso.

I am entering this card in the following challenges this week:

Allsorts - Week 632 - Masculine

Inkspirational Challenges - Greenhouse Photo

Craft Rocket Challenges - Challenge #83 - Summer

CCEE2127 - DOTSY'S Birthday

In honor of her sister's birthday Lois Bak, our CCEE Hostess for July, has asked the CCEE Stampers to honor her by using something on our cards that begin with each letter in her name -- DOTSY.

So for Dotsy I have included on my card:

       a dock for D

an oval and an ocean for O

Taken With Teal card stock for T

       a sunrise and a silhouette for S

       yellow for Y

Sentiment and silhouette by Impression Obsession.

Ocean by Hero Arts

My card today also honor's my late husbands birthday. I made my annual sunrise visit to the beach on July 3rd, Larry's 72nd birthday to reflect on and honor our years together.

Full Steam Ahead - Kitchen Sink Stamps

Good morning to my Kitchen Sink Stamps fans! This morning I am sharing a KSS sponsored masculine card perfect for someone who is starting a new job or headed toward retirement or a slew of other possibilities! It features images from Steam Train & Cable Car, Grand View Mountains, and Cabin by the Lake

The clouds in the sky were created using the KSS Cloudy Skies SVG cut stencil. I also cut out the train with the KSS SVG cut file which you can get for free is you put it in the cart when you purchase Steam Train & Cable Car. To purchase it later, it will cost you 99¢. Cheaper than a die and easier to store!

The sentiment was printed using Cricut Design Space.

Today is the final day of the Kitchen Sink Stamps 4th of July Sale. What a perfect time to grab some of those items on your wish list. Be sure to add Promo Code SPARKLE at checkout!
