Purple Irises

I am holding my breath that it will soon be warm enough for the tulip, lily, and iris bulbs to begin bursting forth and filling the local flower gardens with their beautiful blossoms in a rainbow of vibrant colors. Until they do, I am going to be pulling out my Kitchen Stamp flower stamps and playing like spring has arrived! Today I am working with the Iris Multi Step Clear Stamps. So simple to stamp and oh, so beautiful!  (Post sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps).

Christmas Thank Yous

One of my biggest challenges after Christmas is getting my thank you notes written when there are so many other holiday clean-up projects screaming for my attention!  I have learned over the years that if I have the cards made and addressed, I can get them out is record time and not have to deal with the guilt of unacknowledged gifts hanging over my head for days on end!

So last night, I pulled out my crate of Kitchen Sink Stamps and went to work intent on having my thank yous ready to go!! Hope you like what I came up with!

With green being my favorite color, I knew I wanted to try out the fabulous new Lily-of-the-Valley which is a part of A Year of Thanks II. I love how it turned out and will be making more of these!!

Kitchen Sink Crew Challenge #10 - ATC

Tammy has planned a fun challenge for us today!! Hope you will play along with us on this one!

If you do, be sure to use Mr. Linky to link your creation to the Kitchen Sink Blog and leave a comment so you might win one of the great prizes offered there. The first prize winner will get a $50 spending spree in the Kitchen!! Second prize is the large KSS set of your choice. Third prize is the small KSS set of your choice. So pull out those Kitchen Sink Stamps and get stamping! This contest will be open for two weeks.

Today Tammy has challenged us to use our Kitchen Sink Stamps to create an Artist Trading Card and use it to make a card. An ATC is 2 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches in size. They are all the rage and oh so much fun!!

I created my ATC using Nesting Dolls. The doll was stamped with Brilliance Graphite Black on a 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 rectangle of US White paper and then colored with Copic Markers. Love was stamped in Pixie Pink. I sponged the edges of the card with Tempting Turqouise and attached the antique embroderied ribbon with red line sticky tape. The pink grosgrain was wrapped around and tied with a bow before gluing to the 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 Pixie Pink ATC.

I used a white core black cardstock and the Floral Fantasy embossing folder by Cuttlebug to create the textured background. I sanded the surface before adding the stamped turquoise panel and the ATC.

Stamps: Nesting Dolls Clear Stamps and Words of Love Clear Stamps by Kitchen Sink Stamps

Papers: Pixie Pink, US White, and Tempting Turquoise by Stampin' Up, White Core paper by core'dinations

Russian Easter Eggs

Time to share another Kitchen Sink creation this wonderful Monday morning. Today I have chosen to use these stunning Russian Easter Eggs from Kitchen Sink's new release, Nesting Dolls Clear Stamps.
The eggs represent Resurrection and Life.

I love coloring images with my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol because they always produce such vivid colors. The eggs gave me to opportunity to have fun with my pencils!

After cutting out the eggs, I also coated them with Versamark and clear embossed the surface before adding rhinestones for decoration. The large egg is popped up with dimensionals. I finished off the card with this wonderful paisley ribbon and a sweet black bow!
