CCEE1934 - Fancy Folds

For her next-to-last challenge, CCEE August hostess, Anne Harmon has asked us to create a design with a fancy fold. She said, " Use whatever fancy fold that takes your fancy!!"

This is the front of my card. All images on the front are from Kitchen Sink Stamps.

Sweet Summer Pears - Kitchen Sink Stamps

The time has come for me to confess! I have been indulging in way too many sweets this summer, and it is beginning to catch up with me. My pants are now a bit snugger than I care for them to be, and I won't be buying a newer, bigger wardrobe! Therefore today's card sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps is a tip of the hat to my new commitment to ban processed sugar from my diet until my clothes get baggy again!

It will mean more trips to the store for fresh produce, but I am determined to stick to my guns and get that scale moving downward.

I used two Kitchen Sink Multi Step Clear Stamps to complete this clean and simple, one-layer card: Pears Multi Step Clear Stamps and Berries Multi Step Clear Stamps. The stencil for the background is from Penny Black and brushed on with Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade after the pears were stamped and masked. The color recipes for the pears are attached below the card.

KSS Pear with SCS TLC477 - What's the Point?

I got a late start today on my Kitchen Sink designs so I took the opportunity to look in on the Splitcoaststampers' Technique Challenge for inspiration. TLC477 is titled "What's the Point?" and asked for pointillism to be used to create some of the background for the design. So in my 10 Minutes and 10 Minutes More design I used the extra 10 minutes to add the pointillism shadow below the pears and stamp some stripes for the background.  (Post sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps).

Sweet Fruits of Summer

I created this quick and fun layout for a CAS design I made for another challenge this past week and realized that it would be perfect for this week's 10 Minutes and 10 Minutes More Design for Kitchen Sink Stamps. One of the fabulous things about summers in Texas is all the luscious fresh fruits available at the grocery store! I let them be my inspiration for today's cards!

KSS 10 Minute Monday - Fading Images

My thought for this week's 10 minute card was to stamp very pale and gentle images with a bold sentiment over them. For that reason I did not stamp a single image without stamping off the ink from the image at least once. Most layers were stamped off two or three times. I think this technique has possibilities. Hexagons seem to be the hot shape in paper crafting this summer, so I dusted off my old Creative Memories' hexagon punches to create today's Kitchen Sink Stamps 10 minute design. I just dug through my scrap bins and selected BasicGrey papers which complimented my Kitchen Sink images.

KSS Ten Minute Monday - Design 76

For this week's 10 minute design, I created a mask the size of the card and cut a square hole in it using my square Nestabilities. After affixing the mask to the card front with repositionable adhesive, I stamped the script over the space and then sponged color over that on three of the corners. I left one corner clean for stamping my focal image which I added after removing the mask. This is a quick and easy one layer design with a punch of drama. I hope you like it! For this week's ten minute card, I created a partial frame for my Kitchen Sink images. I used my oval Nestabilities for my frames, but any shape would do. To add additional interest to the design, I embossed the colored frame and allowed the sentiment to spill out of the frame on the card front.
