Sweet Fruits of Summer

I created this quick and fun layout for a CAS design I made for another challenge this past week and realized that it would be perfect for this week's 10 Minutes and 10 Minutes More Design for Kitchen Sink Stamps. One of the fabulous things about summers in Texas is all the luscious fresh fruits available at the grocery store! I let them be my inspiration for today's cards!

 10 Minute Card


Stamps: Cherries Multi Step Clear Stamps by Kitchen Sink Stamps
Papers: Whisper White, Glorious Green, and Poppy Parade by Stampin' Up
Inks: Cherries - 1 Memento Love Letter stamped off once, 2 Memento Love Letter, 
3 Memento Rhubarb Stalk stamped off once
Leaves - 1 Memento Cottage Ivy stamped off once, 2 and 3 Memento Cottage Ivy
Sentiment - Memento Tuxedo Black

 10 Minutes More Card

 With the extra 10 minutes I added a decorative mat behind the pear, used Versamark to stamp cherries on the red cardstock, and clear embossed the pear and leaf.

Papers: Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss, and Poppy Parade by Stampin' Up
nook and pantry by BasicGrey
Inks: Pear - 4 SU More Mustard, 3 SU Old Olive, 2 SU Pear Pizzazz, 1 SU Pistachio Pudding
Cherries - Versamark
Sentiment - Memento Tuxedo Black
Embellishment: Clear Embossing Powder, Dimensionals

    I have just got this paper into the store lynn because I like it. I love what you have done with your cards. In fact I saw some pears today and your stamped one could be plucked right off the page.
    BTW a swish restaraunt means an expensive one and a Cherry Ripe is a chocolate bar in Aussie speak!

    Both card are wonderful Lynn! I especially like the paper you used with the pear! Both of the fruits look real and just waiting to be tasted!

    I really love seeing how you take the same design and come up with your two variations Lynn. I have to say the paper on your second card really gives your stamped pear that wow! Beautifully done. xx

    Yes, the brightness of fruit in summer, you have captured so realistically on these beautiful cards. I love the angles you used on these. Why don't I ever think to think of paper going off the edge? Going to do that more often now, thanks.
