CCEE1948 - Movember

For her final challenge for the CCEE Stampers this month, hostess Frances Bryne has asked that we create a card to focus on Movember. November is also known as Movember which is a time to celebrate and raise funds for male issues. So for this month we are to include a Moustache (Mo) on our card in some way. Hint ... if you are busy making Christmas cards, Santa has a moustache!!!!

Die cut Santa and reindeer are from Cool Yule by Sizzix. The sentiment die Merry Christmas is from Impression Obsession. The stamped sentiment is from My Man, My Friend by Picket Fence Studios.

Let's see the moustaches the rest of the team added to their cards this week:

KSS - Woodland Christmas

Woodland animals are so popular this year showing up in so many stamps and papers and embellishments. While looking through my newest Christmas papers, I found this delightful sheet in my Cozy & Bright Pebbles pad  and realized that I had never used the Autumn Squirrel to create a Christmas card. So today I have titled my Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored card Woodland Christmas.

I am thrilled with the results! With only three layers, this adorable squirrel is one of the easiest KSS images to stamp with perfection!!

Kitchen Sink Stamps used are:

Color Recipe for the Squirrel

Layer 3 Stampin' Up Early Espresso
Layer 2 Stampin' Up Soft Suede
Layer 1 Stampin' Up Creamy Caramel

The embellishments include glittered ribbon and a satin bow by the Paper Studio.

Strong Women - Unity

This card was created for Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge this week. I was inspired by this photo from the Pinterest Board Modern Boho from Boston Proper. The sentiment was inspired by my wonderful daughter-in-law and the two amazing young women she has raised to adulthood who just happen to be my granddaughters.

All images and the sentiment are from Unity.

CCEE1946 - Sundae Day

According to the Days of the Year website, the 11th November was Sundae Day ... doesn't that sound like a delicious day!  So for our challenge this week, Hostess Frances Byrne has asked the CCEE Stampers to create cards that feature ice cream.

The sentiment on my card is from Tlc Creations. The fishtail banners were created with Strips Set One by Unity. The ice cream bars are stickers from Recollections.

Come Rain or Snow - KSS

Normally by this time in November I have all my Christmas cards made, addressed, and ready to drop at the Post Office on the day after Thanksgiving. Sadly, that has not been the case this year. I am really going to have to kick it up a notch to have Christmas cards ready for all my friends and family. So from now until Christmas, you may think this is a Christmas ONLY blog, and it just may be!!

For today's Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored design I have created this snowy night scene using images from the following KSS sets:

Tiny Norway Pine Multi Step Clear Stamps
(this set is no longer available but Minnesota Norway Pine Tree is)

These are the steps I followed to create the night sky:
   1. Punch a circle and attach it to the white 6 1/2 inch x 4 1/2 inch panel.
   2. Brush the top 3/4 of the panel with Distress Oxide Chipped Sapphire.
   3. Brush in a little Distress Oxide Black Soot.
   4. Flick on tiny droplets of water and dry with a heat gun.
   5. Before adding the snow, I stamped the 3 Norway Pines.
   6. Water down some white acrylic paint and flick on the falling snow.
   7. Remove the moon mask and stamp Santa.

To complete the card, I used watered down Chipped Sapphire to paint the tree shadows and tore an addition snowbank on which to stamp the sentiment. I edged the top of the snow banks with some clear Stickles and called the card done.

Should you need it, here is the Color Recipe for the Norway Pines:

Layer 3 Memento Espresso Truffle
Layer 2 PTI Ocean Tides
Layer 1 Stampin' Up Old Olive

Santa and the Sentiment were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black

But First...Coffee KSS

I have been waiting a while for Maria to put out her fabulous new coffee sets, and now that they are here, I can't seem to put them down. Who could resist two of their favorite things combined together: stamping and coffee? The Keep Calm Coffee Mug is so much fun to decorate.

For today's Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored card, I have  stamped the Keep Calm Coffee Mug using Stampin' Up Bashful Blue on all 4 layers, and then decorated it with wintery images from Icy Pond and Snowy Cabin. The images you see through the window are also from the same two sets. The sentiment is from Coffee & Friends.

The designer paper wallpaper is from Early Bird Collection by Bo Bunny while the woodgrain tabletop is designer paper from the Paper Studio and the window die is by Poppy Stamps.

Color Recipe for Mug

All layers for the mug and the lake were stamped with SU Bashful Blue. All the silhouettes were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black

Color Recipe for the Cabin

Layer 3 Stampin' Up Soft Suede
Layer 2 Memento Toffee Crunch
Layer 1  Memento Desert Sand

Layer 1 of the Roof Stampin' Up Bashful Blue on the top ridge of the roof only.

Color Recipe for the Pines

Layer 3 Stampin' Up Forest Foliage
Layer 2 Stampin' Up Old Olive
Layer 1 - Stampin' Up Always Artichoke

Skeleton Tree in window and sentiment - Memento Espresso Truffle

I used a Bo Bunny scrap for the wallpaper and a scrap from the Paper Studio for the
  woodgrain tabletop.
