Headed Back to School - Kitchen Sink Stamps

Today is the release date for Kitchen Sinks Stamps' newest images.  Three of the new sets feature back to school images and sentiments. They include:

Back to School Supplies

Class Notes

Top of the Class

On both of these cards, I used the SVG cut files available for free from KSS when you add them to your cart on the day you purchase the matching stamp set. What fun I had making all those colorful crayons!! The crayon box was created using the SVG 3D Gift Card Crayon Box and Label Stencil also available from KSS today. Instead of creating the 3D version, I made the box flat to use on my card front. There is also a collection of Back to School printable backgrounds for foiling that are perfect for use with these sets.

The above card has been entered in the C.R.A.F.T. Challenge #648 - Back to School.

The fourth set is called Baby Steps and is a fabulous mix of images and sentiments for welcoming a new baby into a family! I again used the SVG cut files to stamp the image of the pram. This set also includes a delightful pair of baby feet and an awesome mix of delightful sentiments. The printable backgrounds for foiling which are great for use with these images is called Oh Baby!

I have entered this baby card in the As You See It Challenge #282 - Baby Business.

Don't miss the fabulous creations using these new images which are being shared today by the Kitchen Crew!

Apparently August is Peach month and Monday the 22nd of August is National Peach Day, so for our challenge this week, Frances as asked the CCEE Stampers to create a card that features one or more things that begin with the letter "P" .. A punched image; patterned paper; pansy; paint; person or a product that is from a company whose name starts with “P”.

I have chosen to use products from companies that begin with "P." The window die is from Poppy Stamps and the embellishments are from the Paper Studio.

CCEE2231 - Embossed and Sanded Glossy Paper

Our CCEE Stampers' August hostess, Frances Bryne, is back today with our new challenge for this week!

A few months ago, Jennifer McGuire shared a technique using embossing folders, glossy paper, and sanding blocks. Frances has asked that we each give this technique a try on this week's cards.  You can find Jennifer's tutorial here

I ended up using it to create a birthday card for my brother-in-law, Don, who will be celebrating his birthday next week.

CCEE2230 - Butterflies

It's a brand new month which means a new challenge hostess for the CCEE Stampers. Throughout the month of August, the creative and talented Frances Byrne will be issuing our challenges.

Butterflies seem to be very popular right now, with many companies releasing products featuring them this year. Frances has asked the CCEE Stampers to create a card that features one or more butterflies.

My butterfly was cut using Cricut Design Space and then dry embossed before popping it up over the card front. The die cut flowers are Be Bold Blossoms by Spellbinders. The embossed card front is by The Crafter's Companion, and the sentiment is from Heartfelt Thoughts by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.
