CCEE21143 - Create a Scene!

Frances Byrne has one last fun challenge for the CCEE Stampers on her last week as our October hostess. She says, "Create a scene!!  -  outside, inside - any kind you like!"

As many of you know, I love creating scenes. Usually I use my stamps to do so, but today I have done it with dies!

Here are links to the scenes the DT created:

October Release - Kitchen Sink Stamps

The three new sets released today by Kitchen Sink Stamps have me excited about getting started on holiday cards! The two Christmas sets are Amaryllis and Christmas Poinsettia and for Thanksgiving there is Turkey Blessings. Both Christmas Poinsettia and Turkey Blessings are also packed with sensational sentiments to add great variety to the cards you create with them.

The amaryllis, pot, bow, and sentiment were stamped on the SVG cut files which coordinate with these sets and are available for free at the time of purchase. Be sure you add them to your cart!

I added a table top created with a paper doily and DP from the Paper Studio.

I am entering this card in Crafty Hazlenut's Christmas Challenge #565 - Anything Christmas with the option of adding a flower or two.

KSS sets used to create this holiday card include:

CCEE2142 - Number It

October CCEE Hostess, Frances Byrne, has asked the CCEE Stampers to "Number It!" She asked that we include a number or numbers on our creations this week. She said we could make an aged birthday card; use number themed designer paper or number themed embossing folders or dies. Frances says that anything goes as long as there is a number somewhere!

I used the following sets from Kitchen Sink Stamps to create this Veterans Day design.

Stars & Stripes American Flag

Remembrance Poppy

Bold Holiday Greetings

The date was created with the We R Memory Keepers Word Punch.

Check below to see how the CCEE DT worked numbers into their cards!

CCEE2141 - Mini Slimline Cards

Just like Slimline Cards, Mini Slimline Cards are also becoming very popular. CCEE October hostess, Frances Byrne has challenged the CCEE Stampers this week create a Mini Slimline card. Typically Mini Slim Line Cards are either 3 1/2 inches x 6 inches or 3 inches x 6 inches.

Here is the quick and easy one I have designed for this challenge:

The sentiment is from Obsession Impressions.

The die cuts are by Sizzix.

Kitchen Sink Stamps - Thanks Poppy

I'm sharing this Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored card today which I am calling my Thanks Poppy. I have been spending the past week getting caught up on creating and sending thank you cards that needed to go out. I believe this one is my favorite!

To create this design, I used images from Remembrance Poppy, Poppy Bouquet, and Watercolor Thanks. The stems and buds were stamped directly on the green designer paper which is from Crate Paper. The flowers, leaves, and thanks were stamped on the SVG cut files which come free with the sets if you place them in your cart at the time of purchase. If not, you can purchase them later for 99¢. For added texture on this card, I used a die from  Tim Holtz Mixed Media Thinlits by Sizzix. Beneath the die cut layer is a piece of blue BasicGrey designer paper.

A new month means a new challenge hostess for the CCEE Stampers Challenge Blog. For October, our fabulous challenges have been designed by the talented Frances Byrne.

Frances says that the of 5th October was Balloons Around The World Day. She has therefore challenged the CCEE Stampers to include a balloon or balloons on our cards.

Balloons seemed perfect for a birthday card for my 14 year-old grand nephew!
