CCEE2239 - National Bring Your Bible to School Day

Lynn McAuley here to kick off the month of October with new challenges for the CCEE Stampers.

In the United States, today is National Bring Your Bible to School Day. For that reason, our challenge for this week is quite simple: use a Bible scripture as the sentiment on the front of your card design.

My card features the 23rd Psalm stamp from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps which I often use on sympathy designs. It was stamped with Versafine Clair Nocturn ink over the layered mountain and pines stencil by Altenew. The Cloud stencil is by A Colorful Life Designs. The texture on the card front was stamped with a background stamp from Impression Obsession.

Below are the beautiful creations from our design team members, and the wonderful scriptures they have chosen to use with their stunning designs:

Happy Holiday Fishes and Lake Side Birthday - KSS

I have a couple of Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored cards to share with you today. The first one is a Christmas card created for the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown August Challenge  whose theme is Under the Sea.

This holiday card uses images from Giant Coral and Seahorse Multi Step Clear Stamps and Tropical Fish Multi Step Clear Stamps. The fun sign is an SVG file made for the Trout Fishing set also available from Kitchen Sink Stamps.

After creating the background water using the Cloud Edger Stencil and the Sea Foam Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs, I stamped the giant coral using Distress Oxides Inks from Ranger. I then added the sandy ocean floor and holiday sign before popping up the seahorse and tang fish on top. I them embellished with Christmas lights and holly stickers from the Paper Studio. The sand dollar and starfish at the bottom were created with Cuttlebug dies. The seaweed was punched with the Martha Stewart fern punch.

This second card is a summer masculine birthday design using images from Kitchen Sink Stamps' Birch Bark Canoe Multi Step Clear Stamps, Seaside Seagull Multi Step Clear Stamps, Isle of Big Bay Lake Multi Step Clear Stamps, and Make a Big Statement Clear Stamps. The die cut chair is by Impression Obsession and the die cut rope is from Beachfront Seagulls by Memory Box.

Thank you so much for visiting here today.

CCEE2032 - National Lighthouse Day - August 7

Liz Williams our CCEE Stampers hostess for August, has lived most of her life near the Gulf of  Mexico and salt water seems to run in her veins. When she found out that August 7th is Lighthouse Day, she asked the CCEE Stampers to use a lighthouse in our card-making and use a scripture or encouraging words with it, hoping these words can light someone's way on their path of life.

The lighthouse and seabirds are from High Tide by Stampin' Up.
The sentiment is from Floral Encouragement Card by My Sentiments Exactly.
The clouds were created with the Cloud Edger stencil by A Colorful Life Designs.
I haven't mastered it yet, but I sure am having fun trying.
The seashells are stickers by K&Company.
