Mary-Kate's wonderful needlework has inspired me to share what I have been up to lately. A dear friend has started a Tapestry Prayer Shawl Ministry at our church and has taken me under her wing to try and teach me how to crochet.
My first shawl was created using the Basket Weave design. It was created with Charisma thread by Loops & Threads.
My second shawl is a slight variation on the Basket Weave that ends up with stripes. For it I used Impeccable by Loops & Threads.
I am having a lot of fun, but have much to learn!!
I haven't crocheted in years! Your blankets came out great!!
ReplyDeleteLynn, these are wonderful! Kudos for learning how to crochet too....I tried it once and just could not get the hang of it. Can't wait to see what else you create now!
ReplyDeleteHave fun!

These are beautiful with wonderful colors. Love the stitch! I use to crochet years ago, but I never made this gorgeous stitch... It looks like knitting.
ReplyDeleteLynn, these are not only beautiful because they are just pretty - but beautiful because of their purpose. I've been wanting to get back to crocheting myself and have seen the prayer shawl books....great inspiration!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, how pretty...I love the yarn colors you used and what pretty patterns!!! I'm a knitter...one of these days I will learn how to crochet!!!!
