Lip Gloss Party Favor

This week the Angels Landing Design Team had fun working up some P-A-R-T-Y ideas for our fans! All of the digital images from Angels Landing work so well to create cute invitations, beautiful place cards, elegant name tags, fabulous favors, table decorations, and the like!! The possibilities are endless!!

How many of you recognize this little guy?? He is actually from the newly released Marching Band 2 set. The delightful jointed animals in both Marching Band sets are SOOOOOOOOOOO versatile! For today's lip gloss party favor, I used the jointed bear but replaced his tuba arm with a plain arm. I then used some designer paper scraps and a bit of ribbon to create a birthday gift. The jointed limbs allow this sweet teddy to sit and offer up this little gift to party guests!

To create this favor, I started with a 2 inch by 8 inch strip of card stock. I then used my Scor-Pal
to score 4 fold lines which were each 5/8 of an inch apart. With my utility knife I cut two slits in the final scored line as shown above. The scored section was folded around the lip gloss and tied with ribbon which had been inserted through the slits.

The teddy bear was printed on white Georgia Pacific card stock and colored with Bic Mark It pens. Teddy's body parts were cut out and connected together with brads before attaching him with dimensionals to the favor. The gift was constructed from designer paper scraps. The sentiment is a stamped image from Never a Loss 4 Words by Kitchen Sink Stamps. A Rich Razzleberry layer and a BasicGrey Lemonade layer were added to the back.

Because of the way this favor is constructed, the lip gloss favor stands up perfectly with no added bracing needed. This would make it great to use as a place card as well!

  5. Such a clever idea to cut the slits and tie ribbons around the scored folds for the lip gloss tube. You've been doing such cute projects with those two Marching Band sets. The gift package fits perfectly into this teddy bear's paws. Great idea.
