Angels Landing July Blog Hop
There is much excitement today as I welcome you to this stage of the July Angels Landing Blog Hop! If you want to join the hop at the beginning, you will find the master list on Judi's Blog.
Today Judi is introducing two new digital image sets: Marching Band 1 and Marching Band 2, both of which contain three different animals and three musical instruments. Each animal comes in two versions. One is a regular digital image ready to be colored and used. The other a jointed version with arms, legs, and bodies to be cut out and assembled so that the arms and legs are movable. One fabulous thing about the jointed animals is that the arms are interchangeable making it possible to have each animal play the instrument of your choice. The instruments include the French horn, trumpet, and clarinet in set 1 and the drum, cymbal, and tuba in set 2. Each set also contains musical notes and wonderful sentiments.
We have a new percussionist in our family who wanted all the animals on her drumstick and mallet box to be playing drums and cymbals!!
I used the cat and musical notes from Marching Band 1 and the skunk, raccoon, drum, and cymbals from Marching Band 2 to create this drum line for the drumstick box.
Card stock was measured and scored to cover the box. The strip of notes was added. The animals were colored with Bic Mark It Pen and joined together with brads. The were attached above the punched ovals with dimensional on the head and body only so that the arms and legs can still be repositioned. The "strike up the band" tag was added to both the front and the back of the box.
