This week in honor of "Old Stuff" Day, make a card or project making use of some of the earliest stamps in your collection, or make use of old supplies in your stash. A fabulous vintage image would also be great for this challenge!
So dig deep and pull out that "Old Stuff" to play along. If adding your challenge card to Splitcoaststampers or another gallery, add keyword CCEE1709.
I am sharing with you the stamp set that got me started on my layered stamping journey with Kitchen Sink Stamps way back in 2007. When I purchased this set and started posting my creations on the web, I caught the eye of Maria Colosimo, owner and creator of Kitchen Sink Stamps. She contacted me and invited me to join her design team. It has been a joy and pleasure to work with her all these years! Now, 10 years later, it is exciting to see more and more people getting into layered stamping!
I used the old SU deckle scissors to created the decorative edge of my card. Back then I didn't have many dies or punches!

Lynn, this tall card is absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful stamp that has created quite a journey for you. You have such a knack for that technique and such talent at finding the perfect colors. This will always be my favorite KSS. That was a great idea to use some OLD tool as well. I should have used a crimper.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah.......deckle scissors. I still have some!! Your card is gorgeous......those flowers age beautifully!!
ReplyDeleteYou are the Queen of 2-Step Stamping! Your roses are beautiful. And I, too, have some deckle scissors in my drawer.
ReplyDeleteNow this is a good challenge Lynn! :) I have SO MUCH old stuff for sure...and I have those deckle scissors you've used too! LOL!! I think your card is stunning with the roses! Absolutely gorgeous and perfect for a wedding! HUGS
ReplyDeleteThose KS roses are fantastic...what a beauty!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I look around and think everything I own is "old stuff"! You couldn't have picked a pretty stamp to use and your card is absolutely lovely! Beautiful roses.

ReplyDeletebeautiful roses, ahhh the deckle sissors, I never got the hang of cutting a straight line with them, that goodness for the invention of paper trimmers
ReplyDeleteGreat challenge! I have lots of old stuff in my craft room...I'm at the top of the list. Decorative scissors is certainly a good choice. Your card is lovely. I wonder if we were more creative when we had less in our arsenal.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous card Lynn, the stamped roses are stunning and I love the fabulous deckle border! Enjoy your weekend.
