I created this clean and simple holiday card (which happens to be number 30 for those of you who are helping me keep count of my Christmas cards this year) for Trish's EjoyVC7 challenge.
The only requirement was to use a star! This delightful set was part of the door prize I received from spicygingersnap (thank you, Linda!! I love it!) at the 2nd Texas Gulf Coast Shoebox Swap in Brazoria on Saturday. What a fabulous day that was!!
Stamps: Holiday Collection by Stampin' Up
Papers: Real Red, More Mustard and Whisper White by Stampin' Up
Inks: Cantaloupe and Lady Bug by Memento
Embellishments: Ribbon and Gold Cord
Tools: Cuttlebug Embossing Folder
Do you do a bunch of different designs each year? I get stuck in a rut and do 300 of the same card!
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to try out those new toys and especially when they were given to you!!!! We look forward to seeing your entire collection, so keep poppin' out those terrific cards.
ReplyDeleteLynn this is fabulous...oh WOW I just love your ribbon treatment!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the layering and ribbons! I like the sentiments with the different colors. Nice card
ReplyDeleteOh Lynn!! You are way ahead of me on the Christmas cards. I am so behind!! Love your holiday card and that ribbon treatment!!
ReplyDeleteGosh, what a nice card. I love the CAS style of card more and more as I make them. Good idea to use the star for a holiday card too. I get in a rut and always think patriotic, but this is lovely with the embossing and ribbon!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, Lynn! I love the colors and the simple layout makes it so elegant.
ReplyDeleteI love the CAS look for holiday cards. I like to produce a lot too, and use different designs so CAS works great. The star as your focal point is very nice.
ReplyDeleteLovely Holiday card! Great job (:
