Autumn Splendor - Angels Landing
Down, down, red and brown, the leaves are falling down to the ground. This simple rhyme I used to sing with my kindergarten students comes to mind as fall begins to arrive in Texas. I love the bold colors and loud crunch of the fallen leaves of autumn. I tried to capture the essence of the season with color and texture today.
This sweet bird is a digital image from Angels Landing's Autumn Tweetings. I printed the image on Stampin' Up's Naturals Ivory card stock and colored it with Prismacolor Pencils blended with odorless mineral spirits.
For texture, I used my new Cuttlebug Victoria Embossing Folder, Prima Flowers, Ribbon, and Martha Stewart punched fern.

This is very sweet! Definitely a fall looking card. I remember singing that little song with my Pre-K classes too and we would play like we were leaves floating to the ground!
ReplyDeleteGreat use of the bird on this one, love the little over-hang and the colours you used!
