New Year - New Direction - KSS

With the beginning of a new year, I thought I would take a break from the 10 Minutes and 10 Minutes More designs I have been creating for Kitchen Sink Stamps, and try something new for a bit. That being said, I am going to use 1st, 3rd, and 5th Mondays to create some cards with interesting folds. Many of them have been around for a long time, and I just haven't taken the time to give them a try. Some of them are new to me and may be to you as well.

Today's tri-fold design sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps was inspired by my talented and crafty friend, Kim of Katydid Cards. The Pluto card seen in this post from her blog was the inspiration for my KSS New Year's card.

I worked with a 12 inch x 5.5 inch piece of blue cardstock scored at 3", 4.5" , 7.5" and 9". The card folds flat to fit in a 6"x 6" envelope.

  7. Wow, a stunning scene indeed! While I will miss your 10 minute/20 minute cards, I know that means good things await :) It will be wonderful to see all the folds that you will be sharing. This scene you've created here reminds me so much of our time in a cabin in December, tucked into the mountains of Tennessee. I'd had such a terrible, heart wrenching experience with someone at church and decided to leave the church, second hardest decision in my life, and felt God's presence at the cabin. I was swinging along on the porch swing and just KNEW He was there, listening as I cried, and prayed, and everything became so ethrealy clear. He's amazing like that! Thank you for taking me back there with you card ♥
