This month's CCEE Challenge hostess, Sabrina, shared with us that the Finnish for February is “helmiku”, which means “month of the pearl”. Snow melting on twigs and refreezing as drops has a pearl-like look.
For this week's challenge, we could take it easy and just use pearls/Liquid Pearls on our card, or we could be adventurous and try out some pearl techniques; pull out that old Pearl-Ex or Perfect Pearls!!
For my card, I embossed the butterfly with black embossing powder and then painted it with Pearl-Ex mixed the Future Floor Finish.

Ah!! I've always wanted to try that, but it's one of those brand names that I really can't figure out what the European equivalent would be. (Still trying with rubber cement, had to order Citra-Solv, think I worked out Oxi-Clean!!). That is just gorgeous and wonderfully captures the velvet sheen of a butterfly in real life.
