CCEE1502 - With Sympathy

For the CCEE Stampers' second challenge of the new year, Vicky has requested that we create sympathy cards. I probably take more time and care creating sympathy cards than any other type of card. The emotion of the card needs to transcend the image and the words making it a very delicate balance to get it just right.

I hope you take the time to play along with CCEE1502 and share you creation on the CCEE Stampers' Blog.

Stamps: Serene Silhouettes by Stampin' Up, Bridge of Hope by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps
Papers: Recollections White and Black
Inks: Soft Suede, Pear Pizzazz, Crushed Curry, and Regal Rose by Stampin' Up
Versafine Onyx Black
Tools: Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Circle Nestabilities

The rest of the CCEE Stampers' Design Team
have created some gorgeous sympathy designs.

Please take the time and see for yourself. I hope they inspire you to join us in this challenge. I would love to be inspired by your creations.

  5. Well said, Lynn, about what makes a sympathy card the hardest to make. This is just gorgeous, and when I think of what fits best on a sympathy, it is always something beautiful from God's world He has provided for us. It is just a glimpse of the true beauty of heaven. Gorgeous card.

  9. There's certainly something so peaceful and calming about your lovely little silhouetted scene layered behind the gorgeous embossing. That's a folder I don't recognise - it reminds me both of Celtic designs and yet it has an Asian feel to it too, which is spot on with the scene.
