It's time for another CCEE Stampers Challenge and Shirley Quarry has another great challenge for us all.
Let's repurpose something. We all have bits and pieces of things we have saved in our stash for those "just in case we need it moments".
For my repurposing adventure, I cut a section out of an aluminum pie pan, put it in an embossing folder, and ran it through my Cuttlebug. I then roughly trimmed around the embossed image and colored the aluminum with my Copic markers. Finally I coated it with Versamark and clear embossed it three times.
Stamps: Hardwood by Stampin' Up
Paper: Baked Brown Sugar by Stampin' Up
Inks: SU Baked Brown Sugar, Versamark, and Copic Markers
Tools: Darice Embossing Folder
Other Materials - Clear Embossing Folder, Aluminum Pie Pan, Dimensionals
The card below card uses the same techinque but I die cut the cross with the cross die from Our Daily Bread Designs. The background is stamped with an image from ODBD's Never Give Up and the sentiment is from ODBD's Anchor. This card was chosen today as Customer Card of the Day over at Our Daily Bread Designs.

ReplyDeleteWow, wow, wow, Lynn...this turned out amazing!!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteHow creative is this!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful cross! If you hadn't told it was originally a pie pan, who would have known???!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. Super creative and beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteYou have me singing "The Old Rugged Cross", as you seem to have portrayed that perfectly here. I always wish that I didn't have to go out and buy aluminium dishes especially to use, LOL - but since I cook almost everything from scratch we don't ever seem to have any.
ReplyDeleteI've never even thought of doing something like this - but it turned out simply beautiful!! LOVE!
ReplyDeleteLynn

ReplyDeletethese are both over the top fabulous...love the primitiveness of the first and the elegance of the second.....wow
