Snowy Monday

With much of our nation blanketed it snow today, I reached for my Kitchen Sink Snowy Pines Multi Step Clear Stamps to create this week's cards. It has been over 9 years since we have had any snow here on the Texas Gulf Coast so we get kind of excited by even the prospect of snow. Although our temperature will drop into the twenties tonight, no snow is predicted so I just had to create my own today.

10 Minute Card

This is a simple one layer card stamped and sponged with a bit of masking.

Paper: Pure Luxury White by Gina K. Designs
Inks: Snowy Pine Trees - 2 Memento Olive Grove, 3 Memento Northern Pine,
1 Memento Bamboo Leaves
Deer - SU Chocolate Chip
Sky - SU Midnight Muse
Sentiment - Memento Tuxedo Black

10 Minutes and 10 Minutes More Card

With my extra 10 minutes on this card, I clear embossed the trees and the moon so I could get a darker sky. I added glittery stars in the sky with my Spica pen and added a few layers to frame the images. This will be my daddy's birthday card next week.

  1. What a beautiful scene, Lynn. I love them both. Those poor folks in the minus degree temperatures are in my prayers today.

  3. Love them both, but I have to say your 10 minute more card is spectacuar! This set is perfect for creating a masculine birthday card, especially for someone born in winter.

  9. Ditto what Vicki has said Lynn......these are stunning. I love the beautiful snow and those deer. The second card really wins my heart the pop of extra color and framing part of it really sets it apart. Happy NEW Year! xx
