In the first SCS Mix-Ability Challenge called Yin Yang participants were to include a matte finish with a shiny one. I used Jo Sonja's purple acrylic gouache for the matte surface and Ranger's Rich Red embossing powder for shine. The die cut heart is rimmed with microbeads and popped up over the painted surface with dimensionals.

Mix-Ability Challenge #1 - Yin Yang
Inspired by the amazing work of my talented blog buddy, Julie Short (you can see her amazing work here), I have decided to try my hand at a little mixed media fun. Splitcoaststampers has a new weekly challenge called Mix-Ability, and to play along I have to get somewhat out of my comfort zone.
