TUIC - Journal Challenge


Christy has challenged the members of Tangled Up in Creativity to create a journal. Well, I have certainly been needing a journal to keep up with my ideas for the 10 Minute Card Challenge I post every Monday in the Kitchen Sink Stamps Forum so this was the perfect challenge for me! After I finished my journal, I went back and read the fine print. We were to also throw in a little spring so I sprinkled a few blossoms over my journal cover. I stamped directly on the recycled kraft paper cover of a lined notepad.

Stamps:  Father's Pocket Watch, 1/2 Pint Alphabet, Hey, Chick,

Journal: Recycled Notepad by ReWrite
Inks: Large Pocket Watch - 3 SU Early Espresso, 2 SU Soft Suede, 
 1 Colorbox Metallic Gold
Small Pocket Watch - 3 SU Soft Suede, 2 SU Crumb Cake,
1 SU Creamy Caramel
Sentiments: SU Early Espresso and Soft Suede
Flowers: SU Creamy Caramel

    Wonderful idea Lynn! And so cute. It'll be great to keep all those ideas in.
    Oh, and I do like that Pocket Watch stamp set too!

    What a terrific idea Lynn. Now the trick is to keep the notebook in a familiar place so you don't spend ten minutes searching for it!

    LOL, I think maybe some watches have springs in their mechanisms. That journal will really come in handy to keep track of your terrific ideas.

    Great job on the cover for your journal. Love the gold touches on the watch.

    What a great use for a journal Lynn, I love the pocket watch images. Stamping directly on to the Kraft in your chosen colours gives it a timeless aged look.
