Kitchen Sink Excitement - Crew Challenge #9

I am so excited because today begins a whole new chapter in Kitchen Sink Stamps Crew Challenges. Beginning with today's challenge, you have a chance to win one of 3 fabulous prizes. The first prize winner who will be chosen by a web vote will win a $50 shopping spree at Kitchen Sink Stamps. The second and third prize winners will be chosen by a random number generator with the second prize winner receiving the large KSS stamp set of their choice and the third prize winner receiving the small KSS stamp set of their choice! How awesome is that!!

So dust off your Kitchen Sink Stamps and read all about the official rules of entry on the Kitchen Sink Stamps Blog. You have two weeks to complete a project for this challenge and post it on the KSS Blog. I hope you decide to join in on the fun!! It will certainly pay off big for three talented stampers!!

Just what is this week's challenge, you ask!! Well, Nicole has designed our task for today, and I must say it was challenging for me!!!

Creative Uses of Photos

Nicole says, "My challenge to you is to incorporate a photograph into your card or project - but there's a catch! You cannot create a scrapbook page! That would just be too easy! (and try not to reuse the magnets you created for Lynn's challenge :)"

Ideas to get you started:
**pictures don't have to be of people
**think about shapes (using punches?)
**what colors are in the photo?
**does someone in the photo inspire something for you?

As I was looking through my photos to be inspired for today's challenge, I came across this photo of me standing in the beautiful garden of a friend who lives hundreds of miles from me. Thinking of the beautiful tulips in bloom in her yard as spring arrives led me to create this card for her.

I used the new release, Tulip Garden Multi Step Clear Stamps, stamped on vellum as an overlay on the photo. The sentiment comes from Words of Love.

Stamps: Tulip Garden Multi Step Clear Stamps and Words of Love Clear Stamps by Kitchen Sink Stamps

Papers: YoYo Yellow, Riding Hood Red, and Cardstock Vellum from Stampin' Up

Inks: Barely Banana, YoYo Yellow, Riding Hood Red, Real Red, Cranberry Crisp, Wild Wasabi, and Always Artichoke by Stampin' Up

Embellishment: Brads, Photograph

Check in with the girls of the crew and see their creative use of photos this week! I know you will find lots of inspiration there to help get you started on the challenge!!!
