Time for a Birthday!

This week I am creating simple masculine birthday cards for my Ten Minutes and Ten Minutes More designs sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps.

10 Minute Card

I am entering this card in AAA Cards' Game #65  The 2nd Big Birthday Bash.

I used Father's Pocket Watch Multi Step Clear Stamps stamped with Memento Espresso Truffle, PTI Classic Kraft, and PTI Fine Linen on Stampin' Up Crumb Cake. The number 2 was die cut from SU Early Espresso. The sentiment was stamped with PTI Classic Kraft ink.

20 Minute Card
I used the extra ten minutes to create a shaker card for this design. I die cut the word party from the white cardstock front panel and covered the back of this panel with an acrylic sheet. Foam tape was used to frame the back of party before adding the white, black, and silver sequin and attaching it all to the Stampin' Up Smokey Slate card front.

Color Recipe for this watch:  Layer 3 Versafine Onyx Black, Layer 2 Memento Gray Flannel, Layer 1 PTI Soft Stone.

CCEE1619 - Get Well

According to the National calendar today is National Fibromyalgia Awareness Day.
Our hostess, Maryann, has this chronic disease which is often called the invisible disease because those people who have it don't look ill. There is no cure, but maybe some day there will be. This week Maryann has asked the CCEE Stampers to make a Get Well card and add a purple ribbon in honor of those who suffer with fibromyalgia.

Below are links to the wonderful Get Well Cards created by the CCEE Team.

Let's Make a Graduation Scene! - KSS

In two short weeks my youngest granddaughter will be graduating from high school with honors. Last week I finished party invitations for her, and today I am using my Let's Make a Scene design sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps to create a special graduation card for her very special day. She is a crafter like her gram so I know she will appreciate it.

For this scene, I started with the bowl of carnations and stamped them directly on the wallpaper background. I colored the water with Copic Marker B0000. The cap and diploma were stamped on white cardstock, cut out, and glued to the cardfront along with the table and hatrack.

CCEE1618 - Let There Be Light

Maryann will be the hostess for May's CCEE Challenges. She recently had holidays at the beach and saw some beautiful lighthouses along the coast, so she asked us today to let there be light and add a lighthouse to our cards.

I showcased some wonderful silhouettes from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps for my lighthouse design today.

Do you have a lighthouse you could share? Join us in this week's CCEE Challenge and post your card on the CCEE Stampers Blog.

Sunflower Birthdays - KSS 10+10

I am using today's 10 Minutes and 10 Minutes More designs sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps to create some cheerful birthday cards for two of my dear friends who are celebrating this week. I sure hope they like them!

To create these cards I used images from Giant Sunflower Multi Step Clear Stamps and sentiments from Make a Big Statement Clear Stamps and Simple Sentiments Clear Stamps. For these designs, I substituted the stem from Multi Step Lilac to create a taller flower.

This is the color recipe I used for the sunflowers on both cards:

Sunflower - Layer 3 Memento Peanut Brittle, Layer 2 Memento Cantaloupe, Layer 1 Memento Dandelion, 4 Papertrey Ink Classic Kraft, 5 Memento Espresso Truffle

Leaves - Layer 3 Memento Olive Grove, Layer 2 Memento Bamboo Leaves, Layer 1 Memento Bamboo Leaves

Lady Bug - Layer 3 Memento Tuxedo Black, Layer 2 Memento Lady Bug, Layer 1 Memento Rhubarb Stalk

10 Minute Card
The only embellishment on this card is the Martha Stewart punched edge.

20 Minute Card
For the next card I sponged a ground and sky background and added a die cut fence from Impression Obsession. The grass images come from Multi Step Birch Trees and 3 Step Honey Bunny. The sunflower, leaves and stem were fussy cut and mounted on dimensionals over the fence.
