This card features a small pansy from the Pansy Multi Step Clear Stamps set. This set features beautiful pansies in four sizes. I have used the second smallest blossom which is about 1 inch in diameter on this card.

Gift Subscription Tags for the Tree

Several of my family members get gift magazine subscriptions from me each Christmas so this year I decided to just hang a tag on the tree to announce their gift instead of using the tacky card the magazine sends.

This tag was inspired by Angela's big glossy peppermints!! ( I told you I was getting right on that, girlfriend!!)

I sped up the process by using only layer 2 of the peppermint from Build a Garland Multi Step Clear Stamps  by Kitchen Sink Stamps and painting on Versamark reinker which I then sprinkled with clear embossing powder and embossed! It made a thick glossy shine without the wait for Crystal Effects to dry!
I have also created this tag to share in Creative Belli Challenge 81.

Don't forget that Kitchen Sink Stamps is having their After Christmas Sale December 26 - 28. Promo Code LYNN20KSS will get you a 20% discount on your order on those days!!

Quick and Easy Shadowbox Ornament

The theme for the Angels Landing Design Team today was to celebrate the season! One of the annual things I like to do to celebrate Christmas is to create hand-made tree ornaments for children in our family to hang on their trees.

I love this precious waving Polar Bear Cub and knew he would be perfect for this year's ornament!

The shadowbox ornament I created today was made from the bottom half of a 2 1/4 by 3 inch cardboard jewelry gift box. The landscape was inserted and glued in the back of the box.

A layer of snow was added at the front edge of the box by scoring the cardstock at 1/2 inch and gluing that scored section to the bottom rim of the box. I used my Crop-o-dile to punch a hole in the top rim and insert a gold cord for hanging!

I created a frame for the shadowbox by cutting out two layers of Nestabilities Labels 4 and gluing them together.

I next created a 1/4 square tube of cardstock, attached the Polar Bear Cub's feet to the front of it and glued the back of tube to the back bottom corner of the box so that the cub in centered half way between the front and back of the box.

I then ran a fine line of Tombow Mono Multi glue all along the top rim of the box and centered the Nestabilities frame on top of it. I held it in place for about 45 seconds to be sure it was secure.

I then printed a computer label and added it to the back of the box. A big red bow to the top and jeweled snowflakes to the front were the finishing touches!

Papers: Soft Sky and Real Red by Stampin' Up, White PaperTrey Ink, White Georgia Pacific

Christmas Thank Yous

One of my biggest challenges after Christmas is getting my thank you notes written when there are so many other holiday clean-up projects screaming for my attention!  I have learned over the years that if I have the cards made and addressed, I can get them out is record time and not have to deal with the guilt of unacknowledged gifts hanging over my head for days on end!

So last night, I pulled out my crate of Kitchen Sink Stamps and went to work intent on having my thank yous ready to go!! Hope you like what I came up with!

Christmas Star

I created this clean and simple Christmas card for today's Limited Supply Challenge on Splitcoaststampers. The cards submitted were to use a star, have limited layers, and use only ribbon for embellishment.

I computer generated the Christmas scripture and mixed Kitchen Sink Stamps'  Ornament & Stars Multi Step Clear Stamps with Build a Garland Multi Step Clear Stamps to complete my design. The cardfront was Cuttlbug embossed.

Layers and Inking:
Star: Layer 2 - Versafine Toffee
Layer 3 - Colorbox Metallic Gold
          Layer 1 - Memento Cantaloupe

Pine: Layer 2 - Memento Bamboo Leaves
Layer 3 - Memento Cottage Ivy
Layer 4 - Stampin' Up Handsome Hunter

The card edge was sponged with Stampin' Up Night of  Navy.

Caught a Bug?

Lots of illness in my neck of the woods these days!! It seems like every household has some type of bug being passed back and forth between the family members. I'm always in need of another Get Well card! Today I reached for this adorable digital dragonfly from the Angels Landing Button Bugs set! It's bound to lift the spirits of anyone who receives it, don't you think?

The dragonfly and sentiment were printed on white Georgia Pacific cardstock. I coated the dragonfly wings with Iridescent Ice Stickles and added buttons and button brads to the body. I sponged the edges of the paper with Stampin' Up Bashful Blue.

The design team was asked to focus on the edges in today's designs so I punched the lower edge of my main panel with my favorite EK Success punch, and I distressed the edges of my SU Purely Pomegranate layer. I added a layer of euphoria by BasicGrey to pick up the colors of the buttons and mounted it all to a SU Certainly Celery card front. I finished off my Get Well card with a pomegranate bow!

A Year of Thanks II - Kitchen Sink Stamps

This Shipping Tag Gift Box was created for Technique Challenge 250 on Splitcoaststampers today, but I added it here as well since it also fits for the December Kitchen Sink Crew Challenge. Lynn in St. Louis has included an easy to follow tutorial by Debbie Fisher! The felt reindeer is backed by the large pine tree from  Pine Trees Multi Step Clear Stamps and the sentiment is from Gift Multi Step Clear Stamps.

Today Maria is hosting Kitchen Sink Crew Challenge 20. With the gift giving season snapping at our heels, we were to Wrap It, Bag It, or Tag It using Kitchen Sink Stamps!!

With Kitchen Sink releasing its 2009 Special Limited Edition set entitled A Year of Thanks II, I decided to use it to create my tag for the challenge as well as a thank you gift for someone who has worked closely with me throughout this year.

This wonderful set includes a thank you stamp for each month of the year as well as a full-size beautiful Lily of the Valley all bundled up in a sweet round tin!

I love these delightful images! There is one that is perfect for every season of the year!!

I bundled my 12 cards in tulle, tied them with a bow, and popped them in this cute tin! Hope you like it!

Polar Bear Gift Card Ornaments

Most of the teenagers in our family love receiving gift cards for Christmas so each year I design an ornament to hang on the tree to hold the gift cards. This year I have created a small pocket card using the Polar Bear Cubs from Angels Landing.

The card is created using a 7 inch by 2.75 inch piece of cardstock scored at 4 inches. I attached 1/8 Scor-Tape up the sides to hold it closed. I used Stampin' Up's Round Tab punch to create the hanger and decorated it with a Martha Stewart punched snowflake.

These sweet bears were printed on white Georgia Pacific cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I added Stickles and rhinestones for a little sparkle.

Check out Judi's Digital Stamps Blog to see the wonderful totes, pouches, and envelopes created by the rest of the talented Angels Landing design team today!!
