One Button Card

I created this card for the Clean and Simple Challenge, "One Button Will Do," at Splitcoaststampers.

Although the clean and simple style is very popular, it probably isn't my stamping strength, so I have decided to add this weekly challenge to my calendar in hopes sharpening my skills!

I knew this sweet Kitchen Sink apple would be perfect for this project!

Stamps: 3 Step School Days by Kitchen Sink Stamps

Papers: White by Papertrey Ink, Red Riding Hood by Stampin' Up

Inks: Riding Hood Red, Cranberry Crisp, Kiwi Kiss, and True Thyme by Stampin' Up, Versafine Onyx Black

Embellishment: Button, Ribbon, Twine

With today being Monday, you know the rest of the Kitchen Sink girls have fabulous new designs on their blogs so be sure you check them out!!!

I love it! You've done a great job keeping it simple. (Definitely not an easy task.) I'm such a sucker for buttons, so you know I'm lovin' this card. Great job!

Very sweet! I love that little button flower! What a great idea to try this challenge. I could probably stand to give "clean and simple" a try sometime, too!

Love that apple! I don't think you have to practice that much with the keeping it simple...love this card. Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog about the bloom card with the little girl. I used both copic and Tombow markers. I have about a dozen copics only, not totally convince I LOVE them. Have used Tombow a long time and still really like them. Thanks again. Email me and tell me where in Texas you are, my best friend lives in Austin!

This card would be so cute for all my teacher friends. I kinda like the simple approach, but I know you wanted to jazz it up a bit!
