Happy Independence Day - Kitchen Sink Stamps

My Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored design this week is a card created for the 4th of July. It features images from Stars & Stripes American Flag, Grand View Mountains, Village Stone Bridge, Tree Friends, and Bold Holiday Greetings. The clouds were created using the SVG Cut Stencil called Cloudy Skies. This card is 5 inches by 7 inches.

To Celebrate Flag Day - Kitchen Sink Stamps

For my Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored slimline design today, I have returned to the Stars & Stripes American Flag to create a card in honor of Flag Day which is celebrated across the United States on June 14. I have included a strip of one of the newly released digital backgrounds from the set called Linear Backgrounds. These are created by KSS for those people who love foiling their cards. That is not a skill that I have mastered so I used it here by printing it on white cardstock and blending a variety of blues over the top of the panel.

In addition to Linear Backgrounds, Kitchen Sink Stamps has also released Wild Side, Happy Flowers, and Elegant Scrolls for your foiling delight! 

The eagle topped flag pole is a part of an SVG cut file set created for use with Stars & Stripes American Flag. Check it out!

I used a metallic silver paper which I embossed with a fun old embossing folder from Cuttlebug to add the the masculine vibe of this card.

Their Memory Lives

May we never forget to honor those brave souls who gave their lives in service to our nation.  We remain the Home of the Free because of their amazing sacrifice.

My final Mother's Day design for 2023 is this Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored 5 x 7 card which uses images from Iris and Whole Family.  The die cut frame is Fluted Tracery by Spellbinders.

God and Country - Kitchen Sink Stamps

I have been sharpening my skills with the American flag from Stars and Stripes American Flag this week so I have used it to created today's Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored design. I have mixed the flag with poppies from Poppy Bouquet and Remembrance Poppy to create a Memorial Day design.

I was having trouble perfecting the stars when I was stamping on a cut SVG file. I therefore decided to go old school and stamp the flag on paper and then fussy cut it out. Below is the order I stamped the layers, and I had fabulous success with the help of my MISTI.

I started with the star field and stamped layer 3 first, then layer 2, and finally layer 1. This made it much easier to get the stars perfect so that the five points on the stars are clearly visible

Next I stamped the red stripes in this order: layer 1, layer 2, layer 3.

Last I did the white stripes in this order: layer 1, layer 2, layer 3.

Then I fussy cut the flag and was ready to go.

The flag pole is a two part SVG from Kitchen Sink Stamps. The poppies are also stamped on cut SVG files available for these sets as well.

I stamped the sentiment on dies from Sizzix's Elegant Labels #2.

Mother's Day Butterflies - Kitchen Sink Stamps

This Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored design was made for Mother's Day using the large butterfly from Butterfly Kisses which is no longer available. This same butterfly in a slightly smaller size is one of the butterflies which is a part of the 3 butterfly set called Butterflies. The sentiment is from Whole Family.

I used a beautiful designer paper from Graphic 45 and the Spellbinder's die is a part of a set called Callista Rectangle Shadowbox Frame. I added 3 opal stones to finish off the card.
