I took a little road trip this weekend and saw primroses and Indian paint brushes popping up along the roadside. Now I am keeping my eyes peeled for the arrival of daffodils in neighborhood flower beds!

Images from the following Kitchen Sink Stamps sets were used on this design:

Spring Daffodils

Spring Nest

Owl & Autumn Moon

Hawaiian Greetings

I also used their SVG cut stencil Cloudy Skies.

The 3-D brick embossing folder is by Sizzix.

I have entered this design in the following challenges this week:

Today's Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored design was created with images from Spring Nest, Remembrance Poppy, and Bold 4 Seasons Greetings. The nest and fern fronds were cut with SVG files using my Cricut before stamping the colored layers. The embossed panel is from Crafters Companion.

This card has been entered in the following challenges:

Tower Card - Kitchen Sink Stamps

For today's Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored card I am sharing a fun fold called a Tower Card that my sweet cyber friend, Susan McFeggan, taught me. You can read about the construction of this card on this post from her blog, Simply Cards.

I adjusted the measurements just a bit to fit the images I wanted to use. The great thing about this clever design is that it folds flat to fit in an A2 envelope and then stands up as a tower when you remove it from the envelope.

Here is what the card looks like folded flat to go into the envelope.

The pop up piece which in inserted between the tower and the bird's nest panel was constructed with two 2 inch by 2 inch squares (Susan's card uses circles, but it really makes no difference what you choose to use) which were scored down the middle. They were glued score line to score line and allowed to dry. I them folded them flat and glued the back to the flattened tower lining it up on the center score line of each. The bird's nest panel was then glued to the front if this device which allows the bird's nest to pop out when the tower is opened up for standing. How fun is that!!

Here is what you get when you take the card out of the envelope and set up the tower.

The Kitchen Sink Stamps images I used

to create this card came from the following sets:

Spring Nest

Big Leaves

Build a Pine Branch

Tiny Norway Pine (retired)

Honey Bunny

Tree Friends

Summer Lemons (sentiment)

Spring Nest - Kitchen Sink Stamps

This weekend I have been having fun outdoors enjoying the beautiful spring weather here in Texas and watching the birds in my neighborhood. Naturally that led me to gravitate toward the new KSS set, Spring Nest for my Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored designs today!

My first card in a Mother's Day slimline design which features both Spring Nest, as well as Build a Pine Branch, with a sentiment which uses images from Bold Holiday Greetings and Whole Family. The clouds were created using the KSS SVG cut file Cloudy Skies. The nest was also cut on my Cricut Joy with the Spring Nest SVG cut file and popped up on dimensionals over the stamped pine branch

This second card uses the cut out Spring Nest again with a tag using Love from Love Letters and a variety of dies from Sizzix. The background embossing folder is by Stampin' Up.

I have entered this second card at  A Place to Start in Challenge #4 - Make It Elegant.

March Release - Kitchen Sink Stamps

Such excitement today as I get to share a whole passel of fabulous new images being released by Kitchen Sink Stamps. All of them lend themselves very well to my favorite style of stamping: scene building which I have featured on each of these Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored designs.

The new sets available for purchase today include:

In addition to Spring Nest I have also used All Year Grapevine Wreath and Fall Chrysanthemum (leaves) to create these first two cards. On this first card, I stamped and masked the entire image and then sponged a chicken wire background with a stencil.

For this second card, I used the SVG cut files for the wreath, nest, bow, feathers and leaves. When ordering stamps, you can get the SVG cut files for free at the time of purchase. I brushed on the brick background before assembling the pieces. The bow and nest are popped up on dimensionals.

This first Build a Pine Branch sample was created adding images from Winter Cardinals and Grand View Mountains. Again, on this card I masked and stamped the entire scene on the card front starting with the pine branch before adding the cardinal and the mountains. I then watercolored the green field and added some texture to that area by using the SVG Cloudy Skies stencil with a darker green. I then add the clouds above the mountains also using one of the SVC Cloudy Skies stencils. The sentiment is from Love Letters.

Again, on this second sample, I have used SVG cut files and layered them over each other without masking. Images from Cabin by the Lake, Tiny Norway Pine (no longer available), Birch Trees, Tree Friends, and Summer Lemons (sentiment) were used in addition to Build a Pine Branch.

The new Water Lilies set also includes this fun frog! Other images on this first Water Lilies card include Cattails, Isle of Big Bay LakeHoney Bunny, and a sentiment from Ever After Castle Greetings. I used the SVG cut files for the frog and the lily pads with the water lilies. The designer paper is from BasicGrey.

My final sample for today's reveal features the Graceful Swan. I used SVG cut files for the birch tree trunks, the swan, and the water lily. The other images on the card are from Birch Trees, Grand View Mountains, Isle of Big Bay Lake, and Love Letters (sentiment). The sky was create with the Cloudy Skies stencil. The sentiment label was created with a Sizzix die.

I hope you find something you love in this new release. I loved creating these spring designs to show these wonderful images off for you!
