CCEE 1522 - Get Out Your Tools!

Today's CCEE challenge has us pulling out our tools. The requirements for this challenge are to include in the design paper piecing, paper piercing, heat embossing and a frame.

For my masculine birthday card, I have heat embossed the sentiment under the cake, paper pieced the birthday cake with BasicGray scraps, and pierced the die cut frame. The images are from Big Day by Stampin' Up.

CCEE1521 - Fabric and Corrugated paper

Joanne is the CCEE hostess for the CCEE Stampers and this week has challenged us to use fabric and corrugated paper on our card or project.  The corrugated paper may be made with a crimper or already crimped.  The fabric must be something other than a ribbon.

I pulled out a sample book of fabric swatches and ripped the side off of a cardboard box to create my Father's Day card for today's challenge. The images are from Classic Old Truck Multi Step Clear Stamps and Whole Family Clear Stamps by Kitchen Sink Stamps. (post sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps)

Acrylic and Ink - CCEE 1520

This week Joanne has challenged the CCEE Stampers to create an acrylic background and to throw in some ink somewhere else on the card.

I used three acrylic paints to create the background and some SU Cajun Craze ink splatters on the square rust panel. The metallic Happy Birthday to You was made with a thinlit die from Sizzix.

Check out the work of the rest of the CCEE Design Team members.

CCEE1519 - Handmade Flowers and More

Welcome to the first CCEE Challenge of May. Our wonderful hostess this month is Joanne Grzelak. For all of May's challenges, Joanne will have us concentrating on tools and embellishments instead of themes.

The challenge for today is to use at least one embossing folder, brad, and a self-made flower on your card/project.  You can certainly use dies to create your flower(s) if you want.

For my holiday card I have used Susan's Garden Poinsettia Dies and Ornate Labels Dies by Sizzix. The music embossing folder is also from Sizzix.

Check out the beautiful flowers created by the rest of the CCEE Team!
