You Make My Heart Sing! - Kitchen Sink Stamps

Many of you may not know this, but I am a huge country music fan. I am currently waiting anxiously for Amazon to deliver Luke Combs' new album, Fathers and Sons to my doorstep. Until then I will be listening to it on You Tube! With my husband's birthday coming this week, most of the songs on the album hold a great deal of meaning for me! I will be shedding many bittersweet tears!

So with country music as my inspiration this week, I have created this  5 x 7 design using images from:

Cowboy Boots

Cowboy Hat - retired

Guitar

Trees

Grazing Horse

I have entered this card in the following challenges this week:

I also want to let KSS fans know that after almost 17 years in business, Maria has decided to close shop as Kitchen Sink Stamps on July 31. From now until then you may use the following promo code to receive a 40% discount on all in-stock stamps. Get your favorites now before they are gone.

Autumn Blessings - Kitchen Sink Stamps

Autumn Blessings is today's Kitchen Sink Stamps slimline sponsored design. It was created with images from Kitchen Sink Stamps' Autumn Squirrel (a retired set), Trees, Autumn Greetings, and Turkey Blessings. I ink blended the background with Distress Oxides inks and stamped all of the images on SVG files cut with my Cricuit Joy. All of today's images were stamped with Altenew dye inks. Although the squirrel is retired, I couldn't resist throwing one on the card since I feed them peanuts everyday here at my house!

This card has been entered in the following challenges this week:

Pull Out Your Boots - Here Comes Beta!

Although fall is arriving this week, hurricane season is still going strong. Here on the Texas Gulf Coast we are preparing for the landfall of Tropical Storm Beta later today.

For today's Kitchen Sink Stamps sponsored design, I thought it appropriate to pull out their Cowboy Boots since I may need mine to wade through the waters that should be drenching us throughout the day. I hope I don't have to chase my garbage can down the street.

Stay Home Texas - KSS

I used today's card sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps to send a needed message to my fellow Texans as we strive together to try to reduce the tragic effect of Covid-19 on our families and friends here in the great state of Texas. More and more people are heeding the call and staying home. We are not currently under a shelter-in-place ban, but are allowed out to get food and medicine and other essentials. The request at stores is one cart - one person and social distancing of 6 feet. Almost all the the people I encounter are helpful, caring, and cooperative which gives me great hope.

I pray daily for all those touched by this illness and for those on the front lines aiding in the battle worldwide: medical staffs, first responders, farmers, truck drivers, freight lines, airlines, pharmacy workers, grocery stores and their employees, manufacturers, and many others. All are working to exhaustion to keep our world on its feet! Thank you all from an ever-grateful population.

Images for this card came from the following Kitchen Sink Stamps sets:

Let's Make a Scene of Gratitude - Kitchen Sink Stamps

Last week was a week filled with difficult days and endless responsibilities. I would not have made it through without the support of friends and family who always come when I call. Today's Let's Make a Scene card sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps is going to one of those very special people.

My sister, Liz, stepped in and traveled to my town to give me her help and assistance. She did everything I asked of her and, as always, found things to do without being asked. I am so blessed that we have such a close and loving relationship. She is my rock and always beside me during challenging times.

Thank you, Liz! I know you will cry when you get this just as I am crying now!! I love you and thank God everyday that he made you my sister!

The Kitchen Sink images I used came from the following sets:

Trees Multi Step Clear Stamps

The wrought iron fence is a die cut from Spellbinders.

LMS072 Inside Shadow Box Card

Lynn here with another Let's Make a Scene design sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps using their newly released Enchanted Dogwood Multi Step Clear Stamps. I also used KSS Trees Multi Step Clear Stamps as well as sentiments from Words 4 Celebrating Clear Stamps. My card today was inspired by Jennifer McGuire's June 4, 2018 post in which she shared a video tutorial describing the construction of an inside shadow box card. It was truly easy to create with her clear and concise directions. Thank you, Jennifer!! Check it out and give it a try!! You won't be sorry!

It takes one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock to create this card cut in half either direction depending on which way you want the card to open.

You might remember another style shadow box I have used in the past. Both styles are fun to make and loved by those who receive them!

I am entering this card on the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge Blog in their June Anything Goes Challenge.

You might remember another style shadow box I have used in the past.

Welcome Home Cowboy - KSS Let's Make a Scene

Today's Let's Make a Scene design sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps was made with a friend in mind who will soon be returning to his county home after an extended hospital stay followed by several weeks in rehabilitation. Being a down-home Texas boy, I think he will love it. Although the bluebonnets are quickly fading away for this year, I wanted to include them in his welcome home card. I created them with the tip of a stylus using Distress Oxide Ink and white paint.

To create this scene, I used images from the following Kitchen Sink Stamps Sets:

Cabin by the Lake Multi Step Clear Stamps
Trees Multi Step Clear Stamps
Tree Friends Multi Step Clear Stamps
and assorted sentiments

Color Recipe for the Cabin

Layer 4 Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip
Layer 3 Stampin' Up Baked Brown Sugar
Layer 2 Stampin' Up Creamy Caramel
Layer 1 Memento Desert Sand

Autumn View - LMS - KSS

I had so much fun creating this week's Let's Make a Scene design sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps using all these rich, beautiful colors of autumn. Although we have had a cool breeze or two through here is the past few weeks, I am still anxiously awaiting the first true Texas Norther! I am so ready for sweater weather!!

To create my window on autumn I have used images from the following Kitchen Sink Stamps sets:

The chair was created with a die by Impression Obsession.
The grass tuft was created with a die from Gina Marie Designs.

Thank you for visiting my blog today. It's always great to see you here!!

My Sweet Petunia and Kitchen Sink Stamps

Today is a fun day in the Kitchen for a couple of reasons. For one, we are doing a collaborative blog hop with My Sweet Petunia. I have long been an owner and a fan of their amazing MISTI (Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented) and have been a devoted user of it from the time it was introduced to the craft market. Layered stamping and the MISTI are truly a match made in heaven! I am the proud owner of three MISTIs: two originals and one mini, and I will never again be without one.

Fourth Monday is always a Let's Make a Scene Day for my Kitchen Sink sponsored design.
For today's scene I have mixed images from Classic Old Truck Multi Step Clear Stamps, Trees Multi Step Clear Stamps, Birch Trees Multi Step Clear Stamps, Pumpkins Multi Step Clear Stamps, Baseball Multi Step Clear Stamps (I made the fence posts from the baseball bat), and Snowy Cabin Multi Step Clear Stamps.

The mini MISTI I use most often when I am working on small individual images like the pumpkins. I love to use it whenever possible due to its small footprint on my work surface. Here is a look at how I got started on this card.

The rest of the card was created in the original MISTI with its larger work surface. This card measures 5.5 by 7.5 inches. As you can see, there is plenty of room to work with. I stamped the truck first and after masking it, I added the road and grass before stamping the background tree.

I finished the scene by adding the cut out fence posts and the pumpkins to the foreground, brushing some color on the sky, and stamping the sentiment.

Please check out the KSS designs created using the MISTI from
The Kitchen Sink Crew and the My Sweet Petunia Design Team.

Participants in the blog hop who comment on each of the linked samples below
with be entered in the prize drawings. One person will win an original or mini MISTI and one person will win a $50 gift certificate to the Kitchen Sink Store.

Lynn McAuley

Winners of these two drawings will be announced on October 3!

Our other reason for excitement is the 10th Anniversary of Kitchen Sink Stamps! And what better way to celebrate than with a huge sale!
