Card Box Birthday Card

For today's card sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps, I cut the ends off of a clear plastic card box to create a fold-flat, stand alone card box. The snowman and snowflakes are glued to the front of the box and the pine trees and sentiment are blued to the inside back panel.

More Dogs

Our CCEE January hostess, Liz Williams, has given us a fun and easy challenge to end the month. She has asked that the CCEE Stampers show off our favorite technique in cardmaking. Maybe it is embossing, fancy folds, paper piecing, multilayered stamping, paper piercing, collage, etc.

Well, I have decided to showcase my two favorite techniques on the same card. I am sure everyone knows by now that I love using multi layered stamps, and I also love putting together slice-of-life scenes.

What you may not know is that in early December I had to put down my sweet puppy of 13 years. Now I am battling daily the urge to go out and add a dog or two to my household. I really, really want to, but with new responsibilities and more travel on my horizon I just can't allow myself to give in to this desire.

So the next best thing for me has been to add more dog stamps to my collection. The stamps I have used on this card are Dachshund, Lab, and Pug by Gina Marie Designs. The sentiment is a part of the Lab set. The trees are from Lovely as a Tree by Stampin' Up. I think they are adorable, don't you?

I am headed over to see what techniques the rest of the CCEE Design Team love and have shared today. Won't you join me?

Warm Birthday Wishes Just For You - KSS

The fourth Monday of January brings me the opportunity to share with you another Let's Make a Scene design sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps. For this birthday design, I wanted to contrast the warmth of a winter cabin with the frigid yet fun cold of the snowy outdoors.

I have included images from Kitchen Sink Stamps' Kittens & Pup Multi Step Clear Stamps, Tree Friends Multi Step Clear Stamps, and Snowy Cabin Multi Step Clear Stamps along with single words pulled together from lots of KSS sentiments.

This birthday card is going to one of my dog loving friends! I know she will like it!! Hope you do, too!!

The window die is from Poppy Stamps.

Thanks for visiting me today!! I love hearing from you!!

Baby, It's Cold Outside - CCEE1803

Liz Williams, our January CCEE hostess asked that this week the CCEE Stampers use an image showing some kind of winter garment.

We Texans have been digging deep into our closets this week to find some winter garments!! We are not used this cold!! What a perfect challenge for us!!

The above images are from the Unity Company.

Waddle We Do in 2018? CCEE1801

Welcome back to the CCEE Challenge! Our January hostess is the creative and talented Liz Williams. She says, "I don't know about you, but I can hardly believe it is already 2018! So the title of this challenge is Waddle we do in 2018?"   Liz has challenged us all to use a penguin or any other animal that loves cold weather.

Well, I love penguins, and I have a handful of January birthdays to prepare for so what could be more perfect?

My penguin is from the Unity Company and I added some punched feet to help him along as he waddles! The waves were created with Fawn Lawn dies.

Join the CCEE Stampers and play along! If you do, be sure to post your design on the CCEE Stampers Blog for all our fans to see!

Let It Snow - KSS Monday

As hard as it is to believe, the weatherman is predicting the possibility of another snowfall in Victoria, Texas on or near Christmas! In my entire life, I have had a white Christmas exactly once and that was 14 years ago on my first Christmas in town. Just over a week ago we had about 3 inches of snow, and I felt we were done for at least another 20 years! Now this!! We are all anxiously watching the sky and keeping our fingers crossed.

We certainly won't be doing any ice skating or sleigh riding, but I know if we get even three inches again, there will be snowmen galore!!

So, of course, the weather report is the inspiration for this week's Kitchen Sink sponsored design!

I have entered it in the Splitcoaststampers' Clean and Simple challenge today which is titled White Christmas!!

Images used on today's card come from the following

Christmas Favorites from the CCEE Team - CCEE1750

This week's challenge will be the CCEE Stampers last challenge for 2017 as we all want to take a little time to concentrate on family and friends. Of course, we will be back on the 4th of January to start another year of fun challenges!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support of our challenges every week. We love that you play along with us.

Wishing you all a Merry and Safe Christmas and New Year.

Our hostess Joanne Grzelak, has asked that we keep things simple for our final challenge for the year. She requested that we use our favorite holiday stamps to create a card.

Well, I have many, many favorite holiday stamps, but my favorite which I added to my collection this year is Winter Pine by Gina Marie Designs. I hope you like how I used it to create today's Christmas card design.

I mixed it with several of my favorite dies from Gina Marie Designs, Stampin' Up, Taylored Expressions, and Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.

Cozy Christmas - KSS Let's Make a Scene

Who would have thought that this south Texas girl would wake up on Friday morning and look out her window to see the ground and trees covered with snow? It has been 13 years since we have seen snow in my neck of the woods so, of course, it was the inspiration for this week's Let's Make a Scene design sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps.
To create this scene I used images from the following KSS sets:

The die cut window is from Poppy Stamps and the lacey punch is by Martha Stewart.
