Well, it's a great day in the Kitchen as you get a peek at two new wedding sets being released just in time for those upcoming summer weddings and for today only a 20% discount on all Kitchen Sink Stamps purchases with the use of promo code LYNN20KSS.
For my first card I have used Wedding Couple Multi Step Clear Stamps which has 6 layers! Now don't let that scare you! I had a lot of fun with this.
The bride and groom stand 3 inches tall so this card is 5 inches by 7 inches.
I actually started with Layer 5 which has the hair, face, tiara, and bouquet details. Here is what I did. Using my blender pen (cleaning it carefully with each color change) and reinkers, I painted Memento Rose Bud on the blossoms, Memento Bamboo Leaves on the stems, Memento Potter's Clay for the groom's hair, Memento Desert Sand for the bride's hair and lips and the groom's lips, Memento Tuxedo Black for all the eyes, and Memento Dandelion for the bride's tiara. I then used my teardrop Memento London Fog pad to ink up the groom's suit. After all that inking, I huffed on the stamp just to be sure all the ink was moist before stamping.
Then the rest was easy peasy! I stamped:
Layer 6 using SU Basic Gray
Layer 4 using Memento Desert Sand
Layer 3 using Memento Desert Sand stamped off once
Layer 2 using Memento Angel Pink stamped off once
Layer 1 using Memento Desert Sand stamped off once just like Layer 3.
One thing I did differently than usual is that I used a Q-tip to wipe the ink off of the tiara and bouquet before stamping Layers 4, 3, 2, and 1.
The only other ink I used was Stampin' Up Creamy Caramel to sponge the edges of all the layers and to brush the tops of the Cuttlebug embossing. The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.
