KKCC#13 Running with Scissors
Today's Kitchen Sink Monday features a Crew Challenge by one of our newest design team members, Connie McCotter. Connie challenged us to use our scissors and cut out one or more of the images we used in today's design.
I'm still experimenting with one of my newer KSS sets, 3 Step Adornments. I thought it would make a great graduation card so I used it to create this one for a graduate whose school colors are burgundy and gray.
I cut out the knotted cord with two tassels, the lock, and one of the keys. The cording and tassels were stamped with Riding Hood Red, Cranberry Crisp and Purely Pomegranate before cutting them out and attaching them over the gathered tulle. The lock and key were stamped in Going Grey, Basic Gray stamped off once, and Basic Gray. I then stamped the third layer again in Versamark and embossed with silver embossing powder. The lock was cut out and attached through the knotted cording and tied with silver cord. The key was attached with dimensionals over the computer generated sentiment.
To create the background, I stamped layer one of the key randomly over the card front with Going Grey stamped off once. I omitted the second layer and stamped the third layer with Versamark which I then embossed with silver embossing powder. I layered on a black mat and the Cranberry card front.
