Another Fun Fold with KSS

I am back today with another fun fold card design sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps. It features images from Butterflies Multi Step Clear Stamps and the sentiment set Words of Comfort & Joy Clear Stamps.

My cut lines are a little wobbly since I couldn't find one of my old Fiskers trimmers and had to use just a ruler and utility knife instead. Here is a drawing of how I cut the front of the card.

And here is what it looks like after it is cut and scored:

CCEE1704 - Snow Season

By now, many of the CCEE Stampers are deep into the snow season (except for those of us who live in Texas or Australia!).....Our hostess, Vicky Gould, has asked to see all occasion cards - thinking of you, get well, hello....any card you can send on a normal day...no birthdays or holidays...and it should have snow on it in one way or another.

Here is what I came up with----

I created this card with images from Whipper Snapper Designs called Catching the Flakes and Free Snow. The designer paper is Be Happy by My Mind's Eye. They were gifted to me by Barb Deichl, who (along with myself) is a member of Christmas Crazy at Splitcoaststampers.

CCEE1703 - Black and Cream

This week our CCEE hostess, Vicky Gould, has requested that we create black and cream (ivory) cards.  We could use die cuts, punches, or stamps as long as the cards are black and cream!

My card was created for a very special friend who turned 105 last Saturday! How awesome is that?

New Year - New Direction - KSS

With the beginning of a new year, I thought I would take a break from the 10 Minutes and 10 Minutes More designs I have been creating for Kitchen Sink Stamps, and try something new for a bit. That being said, I am going to use 1st, 3rd, and 5th Mondays to create some cards with interesting folds. Many of them have been around for a long time, and I just haven't taken the time to give them a try. Some of them are new to me and may be to you as well.

Today's tri-fold design sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps was inspired by my talented and crafty friend, Kim of Katydid Cards. The Pluto card seen in this post from her blog was the inspiration for my KSS New Year's card.

I worked with a 12 inch x 5.5 inch piece of blue cardstock scored at 3", 4.5" , 7.5" and 9". The card folds flat to fit in a 6"x 6" envelope.

CCEE 1702 - Tri-Fold Cards

Our January hostess, Vicky Gould, has challenged the CCEE Stampers to create the tri-fold card of their choice.

I have been seeing this one around the web lately and wanted to give it a try. Turns out it is pretty easy and I like the results.

Here is the closed card:

The images come from Dream of Being by Unity and Toile Blossoms by Stampin' Up. The designer paper is Graphic 45. I used a 6 x 12 inch strip of paper scored at 4 and 8 to create the card base.

And here is the opened card:

Be sure to look in on the rest of the CCEE Stampers! There are so many different tri-fold designs to explore!

Crafters of Faith - Friendship

I have joined a wonderful group of Christian ladies at Splitcoaststampers known as the Crafters of Faith. They host a monthly challenge inspired by scripture from the Bible. Tracie is the January hostess and has chosen as the scripture inspiration Proverbs 27:9 - "A sweet friendship refreshes the soul." Once our card is complete by the due date, it is sent to a member of the group who has been assigned to you for the month.

Today's card was inspired by this scripture and is going in the mail today to my dear sister, Liz, who is also a member of this group.

My sister is my dearest friend and has prayed me through some very difficult times these past few weeks. God's tender mercies and Liz's loving care and prayers have helped to sustain me and will continue to do so in the year ahead.

CCEE1701 - Bird Day

Hello and welcome to the first of the 2017 CCEE challenges.  Vicky Gould is our hostess for the month of January.  I know you will enjoy her challenges.

Today is "Bird Day".....Vicky absolutely loves birds and bird cards.  So the challenge today is to make a card with a bird on it.

Enjoy and have fun.  Please add CCEE1701 to keywords if you post on Splitcoastampers.

And, although a little late.....Happy New Year to everyone!!!
