CCEE 1635 - Bokeh Background

Lois, our CCEE hostess for September, is starting the month off with a Technique Challenge. She has picked a simple technique she loves called Bokeh Background.

Here is a link to the Splitcoaststampers' tutorial which describes this method: Bokeh Background.

More Herbs, Less Salt Day - CCEE1634

Today is More Herbs, Less Salt Day!! Herbs and plants add so much to our lives, so in honor of this unusual day, our hostess, Liz, has asked the CCEE Stampers to make a card with an herb or plant on it. Many of you love gardening, so any of these images would work great. You might even want to add colors that are named after herbs and plants: sage, thyme, lavender, cinnamon, nutmeg, mint, celery, olive, or cocoa, as well as all those you can think of. Have fun with it.

This is the closest thing I have which looks a little like flowering chives. I think the sentiment helps it fit today's celebration of herbs!

KSS Let's Make a Scene #34

On this fourth Monday of August, Let's Make a Scene #34 sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps features the Multi Step Lighthouse used to create a sympathy card. The images were stamped on watercolor paper so I could watercolor the sky and the sea. I still need lots of practice and possibly some lessons with that!

The stamp sets used to complete this card are:
     Lighthouse Multi Step Clear Stamps
Icy Pond Multi Step Clear Stamps (pine trees)
Tree Friends Multi Step Clear Stamps
Other Important People Clear Stamps (Heartfelt)
Heart & Roses Multi Step Clear Stamps (Sympathy)

CCEE1633 - Aviation

Tomorrow is Liz's birthday,  and also Orville Wright's. Franklin D. Roosevelt issued a proclamation to make it National Aviation Day, to honor Orville Wright. She thought it would be fun to hunt down an image of something man has made fly in the air. It might be an airplane, helicopter, rocket, jet, or hot air balloon. If none of these are available to you, how about a kite or a simple birthday balloon? Our bonus can be to make it a birthday card!!!

KSS - LMS033 - Bicycle Birthday

My calendar and I had a senior moment this week, and I am posting the Let's Make a Scene design sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps which should have been posted last Monday. August is jam packed with birthdays among my family and friends so I added the birthday greeting from Make a Big Statement Clear Stamps to images from Bicycle Multi Step Clear Stamps, Trees Multi Step Clear Stamps, Tree Friends Multi Step Clear Stamps, and Daisy Multi Step Clear Stamps to create this end of summer birthday design.

CCEE1632 - Fishing

For this week's CCEE Challenge, hostess Liz Williams puts the focus on fishing! The month of August is National Catfish Month. Fishing is a year round sport and hobby along the Texas Gulf Coast, especially saltwater fishing. So, for the challenge this week, find a fish, or someone fishing and it might make a perfect masculine card for your stash!!

CCEE1631 - Sisters

Aug. 4 is Sister’s Day! Liz Williams is our CCEE hostess for August.  As many of you know, or perhaps you don’t, Liz and I are sisters. When we were asked to join the CCEE team at the same time, we both thought it would be fun to be doing this together. So, for your sister card, find an image of a pair or group of ladies or girls who just might be sisters doing things that sisters like to do.

Here is mine:
