Let's Make a Scene - Hummers and Lilacs - KSS

My friend Margaret is getting a new knee this week. I decided to put together hummingbirds and lilacs for this week's Let's Make a Scene design sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps to bring a little of the outdoors inside to cheer her as she recovers. I really love how they work together so well! I sure hope you do, too!

Kitchen Sink Stamp sets used to create this scene include:

Hummingbirds Multi Step Clear Stamps
Lilacs Multi Step Clear Stamps
Cabin by the Lake Multi Step Clear Stamps
Birch Trees Multi Step Clear Stamps
Words of Comfort & Joy Clear Stamps

Here is the order in which I created the scene:

1. hummingbirds
2. lilacs
3. leaves
4. lake
5. far shore
6. near shore
7. sentiment

The only masking on this card was the lowest leaf to add the lake.

Here are the color recipes I used on each element:

Hummingbirds: Versafine Onyx Black; Memento Gray Flannel, Rose Bud, Grape Jelly, and
Lulu Lavender; Papertrey Ink Hawaiian Shores and Aqua Mist

Lilacs - Layer 3 Memento Rose Bud, Layer 4 SU Purely Pomegranate, Layer 2 SU Pretty in Pink, Layer 1 SU Pretty in Pink

Leaves - Layer 1 SU Certainly Celery, Layer 2 SU Lucky Limeade, Layer 3 SU Old Olive

Lake: Layer 1 Memento Summer Sky, Layer 2 SU Baja Breeze

Background Trees - Memento Olive Grove

Grass - stamped and sponged - Memento Bamboo Leaves

Sentiment - Versafine Onyx Black

Embellishment: Ribbon
