CCEE1617 - Baseball

For Anne's last CCEE Challenge as hostess this month, she has reminded us all that it's baseball season again (YAY!).  On today's card we were to promote our favorite team, their colors, or just use a baseball theme.

Baseball and dads make a great pairing so I am using today's challenge to finish up on my Father's Day cards for 2016. I hope you like it. The stamped images are from Baseball Multi Step Clear Stamps and Trees Multi Step Clear Stamps by Kitchen Sink Stamps and the die cut fence is by Impression Obsession.

Check out how the rest of the CCEE Design Team celebrates baseball this week!

LMS 026 Pedaling CHEER Your Way KSS

The 4th Monday of April means it's time for another Let's Make a Scene design sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps. We have had more sun than rain the last few weeks here at my house so it is time to air up my bicycle tires and get out to enjoy the flowers of spring.

For today's inspiration I started with KSS' newest floral, the Multi Step Carnations. I decided to go with a tall card and only needed to mask the bicycle and the tree trunks.

Here is a look at the color recipes I used:

Carnation - Layer 2 Memento Rose Bud stamped twice, Layer 3 Stampin' Up Melon Mambo stamped once,  Layer 4 Memento Rhubarb Stalk stamped once, Layer 1 Memento Rose Bud stamped once

Stems and Leaves - Layer 1 Memento Bamboo Leaves, Layer 2 Memento Bamboo Leaves, Layer 3 Memento Olive Grove

Bicycle (minus the basket) - Layer 4 Versafine Onyx Black stamped twice, Layer 3 Memento Gray Flannel stamped twice, Layer 2 Memento London Fog, Layer 1 Papertrey Ink Soft Stone stamped twice

All Layers of the Basket were stamped with Memento Peanut Brittle

Birch Trunks - Layer 2 Papertrey Ink Dark Chocolate, Layer 1 Papertrey Ink Classic Kraft

Birch Leaves - Layer 2 Memento Pear Tart, Layer 3 Memento Bamboo Leaves (I omitted layer one on this design.)

Sponged grass - Stampin' Up Lucky Limeade

Sponged sky - Stampin' Up Bashful Blue

Sentiment - Versafine Onyx Black stamped twice

CCEE1616 - Scene with Red

Anne's CCEE challenge this week is right up my alley! She has asked the CCEE Stampers to create a scene card and to be sure to throw in some red. What a great opportunity to get my Father's Day card knocked out a little early this year.

KSS 10+10 - Get Well Carnations

Today's 10 Minutes and 10 Minutes More designs sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps feature their newest blossoms, Carnations Multi Step Clear Stamps. I have used it to create get well cards .

The sentiments are from Make a Big Statement Clear Stamps and Simple Sentiments Clear Stamps while the script is from Letters from the Past Multi Step Clear Stamps.
10 Minute Card

For this card I stamped the carnation directly on a Pale Plum Stampin' Up card front and used a Spellbinders' die to create the label for the sentiment. I cut the purple label in half and lined it up as a frame for the white label.

20 Minute Card

For this card I stamped the script background on the Recollections White card front and on a separate panel of Recollections White. I then stamped the carnations on the separate panel, fussy cut them out, and popped them up over the script on the card front. The ribbon is tied around the popped up stem. I love the depth created on this fun design.

Color Recipe on both cards:

Stems - Layer 3 Memento Olive Grove
Layer 2 Memento Bamboo Leaves stamped twice
Layer 1 Memento Bamboo Leaves stamped once

Carnation - Layer 2 Memento Lulu Lavender stamped 3 times
Layer 3 Stampin' Up Lavender Lace stamped once
Layer 4 Memento Grape Jelly stamped once
Layer 1 Memento Lulu Lavender stamped once

Sentiment - Memento Grape Jelly stamped twice
Script - Versafine Onyx Black

CCEE1615 - One Layer Watercolor

For the second Thursday of April,  Anne has challenged the CCEE Stampers to create a one layer card with a watercolored image or background.

To create my design I stamped these azaleas by Power Poppy with Soft Stone ink by Papertrey Ink on a sheet of Recollections White card stock and then watercolored them with reinkers. The sentiment is from Out on a Limb Sentiments by Papertrey Ink stamped with PTI Dark Chocolate.
