CCEE1531 - Harry Potter

You may or may not know that July 31 is the day that both Harry Potter and his creator, J. K. Rowling celebrate their birthdays. Today the challenge is to create a card or project that honors the remarkable literary character, Harry Potter.

I didn't have the right owl, but I made him "snowy" anyway! Happy Birthday, Harry!

Let's Make a Scene in the Woods! KSS Monday

I always love when 2nd and 4th Mondays roll around so I can pull out a pile of Kitchen Sink images and create a scene card to share. Today I am using several of Kitchen Sink Stamps newest releases: Birch Trees Multi Step Clear Stamps, Cabin by the Lake Multi Step Clear Stamps, and Greetings from the Woods Clear Stamps. I also threw in a couple of oldies as well: Pine Trees Multi Step Clear Stamps and Tree Friends Multi Step Clear Stamps! I hope you enjoy today's post which is, of course, sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps.

I am entering today's card in this week's Mod Squad Challenge The Wing's the Thing sponsored by Sparkle N Shine. Kitchen Sink Stamps will be sponsoring the Mod Squad Challenge on August 19. That week one lucky participant will win a $25 KSS gift certificate.

CCEE1530 - Watercolor Bokeh

For this week's CCEE Challenge, I am featuring a background technique known as watercolor bokeh. The word bokeh is a photography term which describes the way a camera lens creates out-of-focus points of light.

Here is an excellent SCS tutorial which explains the steps taken to create this unique look. Take a peek at it if you are not familiar with this background technique.

July is my month to host the CCEE Challenges. What fun!

For my first challenge, I am asking you to create a card or project which will show us how you will be spending the 4th of July this Saturday. I am looking forward to seeing what everyone plans to do that day. American or non-American, everyone will be doing something on that day! Show us what it is in your design.

I'm planning to be at the movies. I checked out my options. Will it be Magic Mike XXL or Inside Out in 3D?  Inside Out it is!!
