Honoring Charlene

The CCEE Stampers are remembering and honoring a dear friend, Charlene Merrick, who lost her battle with cancer early this year. Charlene was a very talented and much loved member of the stamping world and her wit and wisdom will be long missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and stamping with her.

I could not let the day pass without creating a card in her honor. I have cased this beautiful card she created as a 21st birthday card for a family member. Mine, today, is a Valentine. It says, I think, what we all feel about this beautiful lady.

I Still Need Valentines!

Nothing says Valentine to me more than hearts and roses so they are the stars of my Valentine cards.

My quick card has 3 die cut hearts popped up one on top of the other.

Peaceful Wishes

Today's card was designed for two challenges this week. I signed up at SCS for their year-round Christmas Card Challenge committing to making 10 Christmas cards every month of the year. When December arrives, I will have at least 120 cards ready to go. This card is the 7th one I have completed in January leaving me three more to go.

I have also decided to join in the Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge which will help me reach my goal. Their challenge this week was to incorporate ribbon or lace in a Christmas card design.

Snowy Monday

With much of our nation blanketed it snow today, I reached for my Kitchen Sink Snowy Pines Multi Step Clear Stamps to create this week's cards. It has been over 9 years since we have had any snow here on the Texas Gulf Coast so we get kind of excited by even the prospect of snow. Although our temperature will drop into the twenties tonight, no snow is predicted so I just had to create my own today.

10 Minute Card

This is a simple one layer card stamped and sponged with a bit of masking.

With my extra 10 minutes on this card, I clear embossed the trees and the moon so I could get a darker sky. I added glittery stars in the sky with my Spica pen and added a few layers to frame the images. This will be my daddy's birthday card next week.
