Peaches

Some of my favorite childhood memories of visiting my grandmother's house in the summer were the hot afternoons we would spend at her kitchen table eating the sweet concoction she would pull from her freezer during our visits. The recipe was simple: sweet Texas peaches, cream, and sugar blended together and frozen in an ice cube tray. The resulting treat can only be described as heaven on earth! Although she has been gone for over 30 years, I still treat myself to her Peaches and Cream at least once a summer and I am flooded with sweet memories of the summer days my sister and I spend in her care.

Today's Kitchen Sink designs were created with their Peach Multi Step Clear Stamps set. I really love the color recipe I used on the layers today. I think I will be using it again!  (Post sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps).

  3. I'm not sure what had me drooling the most, the fabulous cards or your grandma's recipe for Peaches and Cream. This is a perfect colour combo for the peaches, they look very real. The leaves look so real.
