CCEE 1448 - Telescoping

This week Maryann has the CCEE Stampers trying out a technique which is new to me: telescoping. I stamped SU's Stipple Rose on four 4.25 inch squares of white card stock. I then used Nestabilites Labels 3 to cut out the telescoped panels and stacked them up with dimensionals after they were colored. I gently sponged the edges of each with black ink. I then matted the 4th square on a white panel and attached it to a black card.

Check out the fabulous telescoping done by the rest of the CCEE Design Team!
Then try one yourself and share it on the CCEE Stampers Blog!

Christmas Lights - KSS Monday

I have been working on Christmas cards since January and had built my stash up to just over a hundred so you would think that I would be ready to mail out my cards in a couple of weeks. Turns out I auctioned off almost 80 of them for charity last week and find myself again in need of Christmas cards.

I promised you last Monday that I would start featuring Kitchen Sink Stamps Christmas images beginning today so I pulled out one of my favorites, Christmas Lights Multi Step Clear Stamps. This set has lights in 4 different sizes and the cute sentiment found of the 10 minute design.  (Post sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps).

Bargello - CCEE 1446

This week Maryann has challenged the CCEE Stampers to create a card using the bargello technique. This technique involves using strips of paper in a very unique way.

You can find the Splitcoaststampers Tutorial which is very helpful in describing bargello here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/bargello/

I have used scraps from an old BasicGrey holiday series called Jovial. The poinsettia was created with Susan's Garden Poinsettia dies by Sizzix and the Martha Stewart fern punch. The sentiment comes from Contempo Christmas by Stampin' Up.

Follow the links below to see the bargello designs of the rest of the CCEE Stampers Design Team. Then give this fun technique a try and post a link to your design on the CCEE Stampers Blog.

Framed Squirrels - KSS Monday

Several weeks ago I had the good fortune to be looking through the clearance aisle at Hobby Lobby just after they put a ton of Spellbinders dies out at rock bottom prices! What a score! I picked up 5 new-to-me sets for just $5.40 each!

I have been hard at work getting Christmas cards made for an upcoming auction and hadn't gotten to try any of them out until today. I am thrilled with today's results and feel that I have already gotten my $5.40 worth out of the first set with these two cards!

The dies I used to frame KSS's Autumn Squirrel Multi Step Clear Stamps are from a set called Majestic Elements. I used 2 dies from the set to design today's 10 minute card. The 20 minute card used 3 dies from the set as well as a circle die. I also stamped leaves on the card front and added a bow to the 20 minute design.  (Post sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps)

The Moustache Challenge - CCEE1445

Maryann is hosting the CCEE challenges for November and has asked that this week we create a card that features a moustache in honor of Movember - a global movement raising funds for male issues. You can read all about it here: http://au.movember.com

Here is my card which uses a sentiment and the 3 Gentlemen image from Tim Holtz. The Astoria Beach stamp is from Rubber Stampede. The chipboard buttons are by Graphic 45.

Head over and see the moustashed creations by the rest of the CCEE Stampers Design Team members!

Christmas on the Cape

I love this Christmas design. The grey, snowy sky seems to capture the silence of this winter scene to perfection. I ended up with a dozen of these in my Christmas stash which has now reached over 100. I may make 50 more and send them out to all my friends and family this year. It has been many a year since everyone got the same card from me!  (Post sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps).
