WOYWW 225

Another Wednesday has arrived so it is time to share what I am working on with deskers the world over in WOYWW 225. If you would like to join in the fun, visit Julia Dunnit's Stamping Ground to get all the details. I am really excited this morning because I have more time than usual to visit the desks of crafters and be inspired by their amazingly creative projects!

This week finds me working ahead a little bit on cards for one of the groups for whom I create. I belong to a Bible study group which has a handful of ladies who, due to illness or age, are unable to attend on a regular basis. We send them a card each month to let them know we are thinking of them and value their friendship. The boy on the swing is going out to them in early October.

At the back of my desk are a few of the other cards I created this week and up front you see one other thing I do while stamping. After I have created my design and don't have to do any more thinking because I am down to the assembly line work of putting together a pile of the same card, I listen to audio books. Currently on my play list is The Pale King  by David Foster Wallace. A great talent gone too soon.

Thank you for looking in on my work this week! I can't wait to see what is on your desk!

  14. Lovely cards and a warm and caring idea to send them to the people who can't make the study sessions. I'm definitely making Christmas ornaments but not individually, although each of those would work on their own and you're right, they would be a great way to decorate a tree!! You've given me an idea now!

  18. Thank you so much for your visit, Lynn. I am a bit behind schedule today due to having to accompany my son on a medical visit this morning. 19. I really like the simple elegance of your cards...very charming indeed. They are much more my taste than very layered, decorated stuff. The stamps are lovely...
I noticed from your comment on Julia's blog that you have 'brass nerds' in your family! That made me laugh because I'm a brass player too - I play the tuba in a village brass band here in Wiltshire. I think brass players are a breed apart...the best, obviously....*grin*
