WOYWW 219

I will be off desk hopping around the world with fellow crafters at Julia Dunnit's Stamping Ground for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday #219 later this morning. What a fun time!

What you see on my desk today is the final card of 5 that I will be teaching at a card class later this morning. I don't know why I always wait until the last minute to finish and pack up my supply boxes. I still have to bag up all the parts and get them in everyone's packet of supplies before heading to the class.

I am most excited this week about finally tracking down this Martha Stewart punch. It is my favorite and I have already broken two by punching heavyweight card stock. My bad! It took me so long to find a replacement this time that I will not ever be punching card stock in it again. It will be lightweight designer papers only from now on!

When I get back from class later today, I will head out to visit fellow crafters of all kinds! I always look forward to my desk hopping on Wednesday!

Thank you so much for dropping in to peek at my desk this week!

  1. I am surprised to read the MS punch didn't hold up. I thought they were supposed to be so good. I can't imagine MS not replacing them for you. At least ONE, anyway.

I hope your workshop goes well today. Happy WOYWW from #1.

  4. Good luck with the workshop. Sounds a bit dodgy that punch breaking down. You pay enough for them. They are not cheap by any means.

  6. Those cards look great. I know the pain of a broken MS punch....I did the same thing with my Flutterby punch. Not thought of sending it back to MS tho! Still have it and I may just send an email! Amazing what tips you can pick up.
Good luck with your card class.

  7. Hi Lynn
it looks like you are going to busy with your class today but I am sure they are going to love the cards you have planned for them.
That is a shame that two punches have broken on you I would have thought that make would be up to a bit more pressure than some of them
Enjoy WOYWW and have a great week

  10. I've managed to break a Martha Stewart punch as well (and it wasn't used on heavyweight card) so you're not alone. Hope the class went well. Hugs. Pam#33

  12. Love the seashell card! I love the color and all the details. I had that punch on my wish list but never found it locally. Glad you have a replacement. Heck, I broke my precious Vagabond machine and after buying a second, I vow NEVER to use it when I am tired. Too expensive a mistake for me. Enjoy your class and week! Winnie#85

  13. Oh that MS punch does look lovely. I have a really precious punch that is actually broken, but which will respond if I literally punch it really hard! It is a shame that they don't stand up to punching card, especially when you grow to love them! I find it's usually the delicate shapes like leaves that break. The sea shell card looks gorgeous btw. 15. Lynn I love your beautiful sea themed card and will have to look to see if you have shared the other cards you will be making. That wave embossing is fabulous and I can see why you love that MS Punch. I think its the one I have seen being used to make fabulous christmas wreaths. Definitely a busy workdesk this week. Enjoy your class and your week! Danie (a very late #133).

  21. Your card is gorgeous! I hope your class went well. Too bad about the punch, but the design is so delicate I can see why heavy Cardstock took a toll on it.
